"Rat Trap" Could you understand what the Rats were saying? One of the worse vocal effects ever IMO Good thing I subscribe and get scripts
Otherwise it was a good story
Regards
{Spoiler}Now you getting me to think back on that story and I honestly can't remember if I understood the rats or not. I'm thinking if I had a problem I'd remember, cause stories in which that was a problem I remember when the story name is mentioned. I think, for me anyway, it also depends on how I listen (speaker versus headset/earpods).

The Feast of Axos.
Now this was excellent, with the only slight niggle being the booming Axos itself. Apart from that, a very cinematic release that I thoroughly enjoyed. Great music and atmosphere too, a belting 8 out of 10.

Getting things for my grandmother in/around town today I've listened to all but the last half-hour of 'Zagreus'... No, I don't need a sit-down & a cup of coffee, whatever gave you that idea?

Busy day today, Staggering Stories podcast ep 315 ( good laugh )
The Flashing Blade podcast series 2 episode 5. ( I know this is an old defunct podcast but I found a number still on my phone today, so decided to listen again)
Grief Cast podcast ep 9 Kayleigh Llewelyn. Amazing how she coped with 6 deaths.
King Falls A.M ep 64. Love this story.
Also listened to Carly Pearce “Every Little Thing” album.

Now on to the excellent 'Mind Games' from the WODW, which is a fairly straight forward story but no the worse for it. Very atmospheric and some great one liners from Mr Jago too.

Finally found some time to listen to Sync this evening. Had a fantastic time listening to this one. It really is the perfect blend of 2005 Doctor Who and Torchwood. After this and Moving Target, I really want to see a full cast story with Suzie - I just want to keep learning more about this absolutely fascinating character.

On to another of the Main Range I've never managed to finish...The Fearmonger. Well worth a listen. One of the very few stories that I think has gotten better with age. Can remember listening to this in 2000 and thinking 'Ok but a bit far fetched'. Listened to it again recently and, without getting on to a political rant/soapbox, thought 'blimey this is more true to life than Blum probably ever realised'. Harper (although a pastiche of Pauline Hanson in Australia and Thatcher in the UK) is just as representative as some of our current politicians (both in the UK and abroad), the idea of 'fake news' is more problematic than ever and playing on fear and whipping up hatred through the media is being done to excellent effect. Parts of it are a bit dated - the talk radio angle smacks of early 2000s as an updated version would probably have the Fearmonger use Twitter or Social Media now. There are also points that are clearly McCoy 'talking' stage directions/plot filling rather than acting (BF would sort this out pretty soon though). Paired with Live 34 these are two of the stronger releases for McCoy. Pity that Blum hasn't contributed anything since (unless I've missed something - not hard to do)

MR 30 Seasons of Fear - that was brilliant and (I mean this in the nicest possible way) so unexpectedly full of bull! The Nimon!! I love a surprise monster return and even though I'm almost 20 years late, for me these Eight/Charley stories are brand new; how good is that?

Season 2 of 8/Charley is top notch, one of the best things BF did in the early years. Sadly it all goes a bit downhill for 8 after that and, apart from the occasional good story, 8 doesn't really pick up again until Lucie Miller comes on the scene.

The new adventures of Benny Volume 3. Because it is one of the best things BF has done (together with vol. 4). And because it’s soothing familiarity will help me go to sleep in a unfamiliar hotel bed.

The Prisoner Vol 1 Chimes of Big Ben - as always much that I like, but still frustration that so much of the boxset is redone TV stories. I wish they’d done more original stories. Too much of this listening experience was knowing what was happening next.

The Movellan Grave. Archaeology, aliens with a very interesting relationship to the Daleks, an awesome companion, and the lead cast giving great performances. No wonder this was my third listen already.
