Yesterday was The Butcher of Brisbane Part Two, and all of The Havoc of Empires. Tonight was The Butcher of Brisbane Part Three. I'm not quite enjoying it as much as I feel like I should be, since it has all the time travel elements that I usually love in a story. I suspect I may be falling victim to what I think of as "prequel syndrome," where it's not hitting the points I expected of Magnus Greel's history so that's getting in the way of my enjoying it for its own merits. Hopefully I'll enjoy it more the next time I come back to it.
The Havoc of Empires, on the other hand, was fantastic. Tim Treloar did a fantastic job as the Third Doctor, and I look forward to more!

Finished 6th Doctor: Last Adventure. Had a re-listen to Return Of The Krotons (6th & Charley story) as I had totally forgotten the story.

Today I am finishing off the Planet of the Rani, I must say after all the excitement of the Doom Coalition I am quite pleased to settle back with something more normal than all this exciting Box Sets, it is no good for my nerves, need a element of more calmer times.
All this change, new Forum, new releases coming out at us like bullets from a machine gun at the moment, just downloaded The Forsaken which I must say I loved the taster BF put up, so this will be next up no doubt.

Planet of The Rani. It's my first time listening to Siobhan Redmond as The Rani. I like her. Very cold, calculating.

Listening to the latest two audios today in order of excitement rather than release date, which means Forsaken comes before Planet of the Rani. On episode 3 now, good so far.

Finished "The Nowhere Place": very atmospheric, and with lots of tension. Just one small (but significant) factual error about the age of the Earth. But still love it for its drama and the fact that I never knew what was going to happen next.
Up next: "Criss-Cross" and then "Planet of the Rani".

Tonight was The Butcher of Brisbane Part Four. One point that has me a bit confused... {The Doctor's Phone Call} From checking the tardiswiki, the only other story that seems to tie in with this is the 8th Doctor novel Emotional Chemistry. But it doesn't make sense that the Doctor would know about that since that would be in his future. So which other self did he call at the end? What other story is this referencing?

He's ringing an earlier doctor who is marching with the philippino army , an off screen adventure referenced by four in the talons of weng-chiang

Last week I was listening to some of the Monthly Range stories between about 60 and 80 including Terror Firma and Live 34 which I thought were excellent, and Night Thoughts and Catch 1782 (both are among the very the first Dr. Who audios I bought but still hadn't heard yet) which I thought were very good, and The Game, Medicinal Purposes, and Singularity likewise.
Tuesday I heard the first series of Sarah Jane Smith and The Doomwood Curse, and today the second Sarah Jane series and picked up with Dalek Empire again with the fourth installment of series one - all of which I thoroughly enjoyed. Lucky me to pick such a good run, I thought all of them were particularly well written and well performed, with really good music as well.

The Forsaken.
A great story so far and I'm really enjoying Elliot Chapman's portrayal of Ben Jackson.
Cheers

Well besides finishing Doom Coalition this week I also listened to the first 3 stories in the 2nd Dorian Gray set. My favorite of the first 3 was Murder on 81st street. I liked the use of this particular monster and when I read the description it didn't hit me it was that Dorothy Parker. Fun stuff!
But the American accents were still way too stereotypical for me.

Did I mention I finished Doom Coalition? Really enjoyed it. Think I need to give it a re-listen.

Listening through Dalek Empire 3 for the umpteenth time - I still think Dalek Empire is one of the strongest ranges from BF.
