I think BF really eclipsed the TV show with their writers. Oh yes. So very much yes.

Space: 1999 - I haven't been this excited about a BF release since ... well, July. Yes, congratulations to everyone who's into this. It's just bouncing off me but this must be really exciting for you guys and I'm very happy for you!

Am in mood for black and white-
Doctor Who 2nd Doctor-The Yes Men-i tend now to listen to the extras now before i revisit a story .It adds a bit more to the story now getting the writers and actors background on them.I got to say with these old stories the recasting of Ben really brought these stories to life and a wonderful way to keep an actor in memory.Same with Tim recreating Jon Pertwees Doctor- a beautiful way to remember those people.

Finished listening to the Bernice Summerfield: Gods of the Underworld audio book. It was a long convoluted story to read and it's a long convoluted story to listen to.

Space: 1999. Reached the halfway point and loving it. It feels true to the show without simply copying it.

Static - another one I've never finished, not because it is rubbish - far from it - but because it is one of those audios you have to be in the mood for.

This is also one of the very few audios that could have done with another episode. There's a lot there that could be covered in more detail - notably, the origins of the Resurrection Machine and who told the couple about the site in the first place. Hopefully, BF will give us a Sixie, Flip and Constance trilogy soon - want to see how this pans out.

Counter-Measures 1: Threshold.
I am very glad the Counter-Measures seems to be enduring. Although my interest waned after they moved away from the 1960s (the period setting is a huge part of its appeal for me), it's a cracking premise. And it has to be - we also have other high-profile organisations like UNIT and Torchwood to fit into this universe (I'm surprised they haven't trodden on each others' toes).
Anyway, this is a very good opening story. Writer Paul Finch hasn't written for Big Finish recently. I hope he does more. The plot is pretty scary and the reasons behind it sinister, and very 'of the time.' The cast are excellent of course, with Sir Toby providing an invaluable, and shady, authoritative figure. I'm tempted a C-M marathon, but I'll be finishing the excellent Transference and Survivors first. So happy to have all this stuff!

UNIT:Incursions 'The Sleep of Death' explored further and (rightly or wrongly) I got the impression that we might hear more in the future.

Yes i felt there were angles still to be explored in the telling of THAT story and for me personally there are a lot of ramifications for {Spoiler} Constance’s death/resurrection

A first listen to Gallifrey Series 4.
Well..so far so good...but what a complete diversion from the path set out in Series 1 to 3! From cutthroat Gallifreyan politics and civil war to alternative Gallifreyan timelines in a single boxset. Bit of a jolt to the system but I'm curious to see where this goes before the next change of direction..

Train journey home. Witch from the Well. Hmm. I now remember why this did not rank very high on my list. It has neither the best story nor McGanns best performance It must have one of the worst acted beginnings of any of the 8th Doctor plays. Just the initial scene of Mary coming into the Tardis and McGanns fake surprise and the „what on Gallifrey“ sounded so wooden and unengaged. Completely breaks my immersion. It gets better from then on, and we get another torture scene which McGann seems to relish, however, most of the story gets drowned out by technobabble.
