Tonight was The Butcher of Brisbane Part Four. One point that has me a bit confused... {The Doctor's Phone Call} From checking the tardiswiki, the only other story that seems to tie in with this is the 8th Doctor novel Emotional Chemistry. But it doesn't make sense that the Doctor would know about that since that would be in his future. So which other self did he call at the end? What other story is this referencing? He's ringing an earlier doctor who is marching with the philippino army , an off screen adventure referenced by four in the talons of weng-chiang Ahh, I'd forgotten about that reference. That explains it. Thanks!

Today I got to listen to all of The Fate of Krelos/Return to Telos. I especially loved the final episode.
Tonight's regular episode was Eldrad Must Die! Part One. Off to a great start!

Revisited The Condemned recently. Probably my favorite by Eddie Robson. Will be listening to The Haunting of Thomas Brewster shortly.
EDIT: Finished Brewster. I enjoyed how, despite the complicated nature of the plot, it maintained a simple yet strong emotional focus. The music was great albeit a bit repetitive at times, and a lot of care was put into realizing the time period. It will be interesting to see how Thomas fleshes out as a character in his further appearances.

Finishing the Planet of the Rani, enjoying it, is a good story I think Constance is a good new companion.

Well besides finishing Doom Coalition this week I also listened to the first 3 stories in the 2nd Dorian Gray set. My favorite of the first 3 was Murder on 81st street. I liked the use of this particular monster and when I read the description it didn't hit me it was that Dorothy Parker. Fun stuff! But the American accents were still way too stereotypical for me. Just listened to these three as well. I like how the theme music is worked into the music of the times.

After spending the previous week in the Cloisters of Terror ...my this week's quote of the week
"The students get warned about people like you on their first day" runners up from the worlds of Who "All the strangest things happen in Bedfordshire" and elsewhere from Big Finish "Feels like I've got the hangover without the fun"

Just finished Phantasmagoria. I really enjoyed this. What a great story to start off the Solo Doctor stories. (Sirens of Time was a multi-Doctor story so lol)

Finished Dark Shadows: Tainted Love, a bit disappointing for this usually ultra-strong range. B-. Maybe others liked it better.
In the middle of Dark Shadows: The Crimson Pearl. Lots of fun, if not super deep. B+.

The Death Collectors & Spider's Shadow. What an excellent release! It was a nice change to have the short story follow directly from the long one, and it worked to great effect. These solo-Seven outings keep on delivering. EDIT: To clarify what I meant by "follow directly from the long one," Spider's Shadow occurs directly after the events of Death Collectors and uses material from that story to resolve it's plot.

Just Finished Master. Now to me this has become my number one Doctor Who audio story, sadly knocking down Chimes of Midnight into second place. Such a well told story and perfect for October/Halloween

Inspired by Doom Coalition, I'm going back and listening to the early 8th Doctor releases. Listened to Storm Warning today. It's a great reintroduction to 8. Part 3 gets bogged down with exposition, making the Doctor and Charlie all but disappear from this episode, but by part 4 it comes back together again and the climax is thrilling.

Dark Eyes 4, specifically Master of the Daleks. Absolutely loving it. Haven't finished it yet but am laughing out loud at the Master. Such great dialogue, delivered so well, just a joy to listen to. Top writing for all the cast so far, definitely two thumbs up

Got a lot of house work done this weekend, which means opportunities to listen to a lot of Big Finish! In addition to my regular Fifth Doctor installment Eldrad Must Die! Part Two, I listened to The Forsaken, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, and finished up a bunch of CD Extras and music suites that I hadn't gotten around to from the last few stories.

Just wrapped up The Boy that Time Forgot and it was a helluva lot better than I was expecting! The **** ****** has this rated at 5.4 for some reason, which is puzzling; it deserves at least a 7. I don't get why opinion is so divided on this one. Definitely worth checking out!

I'd like to forget The Boy That Time Forgot, as I've said before. I thought it was mean-spirited.
I went back to my Star Wars Humble Bundle today and listened to Tales of the Jedi: Dark Lords of the Sith.

Its Beevers performance in part one that gripped me. Made me think of what his life could have been if it hadn't been for Tovik, Death, Rassilon and the events of The Dark Path
