Fantastic!
I'm only halfway through series 1, but I can already tell I'm in this one for the long run. Wonderful stuff!

I wonder which adventure path they'll pick. (Hoping for Iron Gods, Reign of Winter or Jade Regent)

I am very glad to hear that there will be more and fingers crossed that it will have the same four characters.
But I am beginning to think that box-sets are the way forward with this range as the waiting between releases, not knowing when the next instalment will actually get released, is frustrating.

Maybe back to the one disc stories, three stories to a box and do two releases for a season like with the Stargate full-casts. As long as there are individual covers for each story.

Those two box sets were brilliant, but they were the end of that range... ...perhaps waiting months between releases isn't so bad!

As long as we're informed of delays rather than noticing the What's New page being edited on the sly. The Mummy's Mask season should have been wrapped up by the end of this month has the initial release schedule been adhered to.

I am more than happy with the 2 hour format, more of the same for me please!! Six 2 hour stories, that is equivalent to three box sets!!Why change it?

The reason the Stargate range wasn't as successful as other ranges was because it wasn't selling well enough to justify further productions. The full cast box sets were clearly a labour of love by the late great Spraggster (they used Skype to record for some actors) like how Nick Briggs has obsessed over the bloody prisoner. The format wasn't the issue, as Vienna is still ongoing while doing three disc box sets.

I agree the present two disc format is preferable, it is the sparodic nature of the releases that is the issue. Plus it would be nice to get some audio extras rather than just musical excerpts - I wonder if they have done individual tracks rather than a full music suite so that gamesmasters can use them whilst playing the adventure path? And that continual issue I have with Big Finishes non box set releases, namely the CD booklet. Including the same pictures and write up about the main characters in every release is a waste.

It is true the releases dates have been pushed back, due to the Big Finish work-load,but they are worth waiting for.(interviews with cast and crew would be welcome) Spare a thought for poor old"Charlotte Pollard" when the 2nd Boxset is released in October it will be 2 years and 5 months since the 1st one?? I actually pre-ordered the 2nd Boxset in January 2015!!

I think some of the schedule rejiggery is caused by two companies with different release practices trying to synchronise and obey a contract that was more restrictive than it may have needed to be.
Based solely on outside observations, it's clear that Paizo's share of the CDs have to reach their warehouse on the west coast of America by the start of the month so that subscription payments can be processed but Big Finish can't release until the "street date", usually the last Wednesday of the month. Also I get the impression that everything they say or do has to be approved and announcements have to be on Paizo.com for about ten days before Big Finish can say anything official. (I also get the impression that these rules may have been renegotiated and relaxed recently, leading to a sudden influx of trailers, probably as part of the series three approval).
With that in mind, I suspect (and hope) the delay on the second half of Mummy's Mask was partly caused by a desire to insert some foreshadowing of series three into the final script, which couldn't be approved until it was certain (and signed off on) which AP was being adapted next.

I like the two disc format as well, just hope they don't go to box sets.
I am annoyed by the delays, well not the delays but the fact that they never told us. it always feels like we got your money now wait and we will tell you when and if you can have them. they said monthly it should be monthly or apologise.
but I will order series 3 (after moaning I won't) but I hope that it improves on the 1st two releases of 2nd series (hoping it improves after it's little rest) which were no where near as good as series 1 for me.
has anyone bought any of the audiobooks that audible have done, got the free one but not listened yet?

has anyone bought any of the audiobooks that audible have done, got the free one but not listened yet? I've listened to a few of them and read three or four in the old fashioned way before the audiobooks came out. They're generally pretty good. Although obviously your mileage will vary, my opinions are as follows: Prince of Wolves - A good fun light horror setting. First book featuring Varian Jeggare but not the last. Plague of Shadows - Less fun but a nice exploration of some less well covered parts of Golarian. Worth a read/listen. Master of Devils - Varian Jeggare visits the orient. Similar to the first in many ways but different enough in the details to distinguish itself. Death's Heretic - An atheist working directly for a god and a murder mystery that escalates into a kidnapping. I love it. City of the Fallen Sky - Indiana Jones meets Sword and Sorcery. Good fun, not perfect but good enough. (A must have if series 3 turns out to be Iron Gods) Nightglass - Feels more like two books than one. If you like the idea of Harry Potter where the sorting hat flays alive anyone who isn't in Slytherin, you'll enjoy this. The Wizard's Mask - Got half way through. Stopped. Not bad exactly but certainly a bit dull. The Redemption Engine - Squeal to Death's Heretic. Almost as good as the first (although you don't have to have read/heard the original to enjoy it). The Crusader Road - Much more a traditional fantasy than most of the others. (A must have if series 3 turns out to be Kingmaker)

I just looked and my preorder was in 2014!! I do hope they don't put her back again, but October's release schedule already looks awfully crowded...

Also all but confirms that series 3 will be either Jade Regent or Shattered Star (or an entirely original story) - because of the returning character it confirms. (he played three in series 1, one of them could appear in Jade Regent the other two are more likely in Shattered Star) Unless I've forgotten something about one of the others.
