"Planet of Fire" the other day. A reminder of how different TV-Peri and BF-Peri are.
Caves of Androzani up next.

I watched the first two episodes of City of Death with my husband tonight.
And because I'm so much more immersed in Doctor Who and surrounding stories than I was the first time around, I caught it when Romana referred to The Braxiatel Collection. Was that the first reference to it?

Yesterday I watched the movie (for Paul McGann's birthday). I rewatch it every few years and I either like it or hate it - this time I ended up pulling it apart lol.
Sleep No More - not sure how I think about this one. Could have be good as a standalone gothic horror, but Doctor Who? Hmm...
Cheers
Tony

I'm doing a watch through of Six's era. Finished the first season tonight. For me, the standouts so far have been Attack of The Cybermen and Vengance on Varos. I enjoyed both of these immensely.

Tonight my husband and I watched parts 1 and 2 of the reconstructed Shada, with Tom Baker narrating the missing bits. I was amused by the scenes where they were having tea with "milk, two lumps, and no sugar." My husband: "Two lumps of what?!" I wonder myself, actually. My husband was amused by what book Professor Chronotis was reading in part 1, when he sat down to read after Chris Parsons left with the books he borrowed. My husband was also amused when Romana referred to having read the Gallifreyan children's stories when she was a "time tot."

Episodes 3 and 4 of the Shada reconstruction with Tom Baker narrating the missing bits.
I forgot to mention that the reason I picked this serial to watch is cause I thought my husband would get a kick out of the views of Cambridge. Our son was at Cambridge University for his Master's degree. And our daughter was there two different times for special courses (not for a degree or anything like that).

While McGann is great (as always), it feels off because so many lines are obviously written for Tom Baker's delivery.

At first, I wasn't going to get it cause I had already seen the version with Tom Baker. But I was pleasantly surprised by the McGann version. I thought Paul McGann pulled it off quite well and I really enjoyed his version of the performance.

I finally watched The Enemy of the World last night. I was afraid that because Troughton is such a great actor, I might not like him quite as much after his performance as a despicable character, but no worries. The well placed Yeti joke was cute. Tried to watch The Web of Fear too but fell asleep during the second or third episode. Must get back to that as the last thing I saw before my head hit the pillow looked amazingly like Nicholas Courtney.
