Right now, I'm in the middle of The Ambassadors of Death. I haven't seen it in years, and I'd forgotten about some of the more ridiculous parts. How did the Doctor make that tape disappear? Its still pretty good though.

Watched the last two episodes of Full Circle with my husband tonight.
My husband pointed out that they never really explained why a spider bite made Romana able to communicate (if that's what she was doing) with the marshmen.

"Vengeance on Varos" yesterday.
This is the first time since childhood I'm rewatching Colin's run. I have to say I like his take on TV way more than many others seem to have...

Started Keeper of Traken today. Hulu cut out in the middle of episode 2, to my annoyance, and told me the video couldn't be played. Hope this isn't a trend.

The Keys of Marinus for me. The disembodied brains of Morpho are still just as freaky now as they were for me as a child. A whole society debased by creatures that give them falsehoods masquerading as epicurean luxuries in exchange for their total nonvoluntary obedience. Marinus strikes me as one of the few planets in Doctor Who and science fiction in general that wasn't defined by a single biome. It's strikingly well developed and the quest never seems to get old. Right now, I'm in the middle of The Ambassadors of Death. I haven't seen it in years, and I'd forgotten about some of the more ridiculous parts. How did the Doctor make that tape disappear? Its still pretty good though. In the words of TFS's DBZ Abridged: "Science! Delicious magical science!" My theory as a kid was that he absent-mindedly pocketed the Time Vector Generator from the TARDIS and used that to hide the tape.

I really like his TV run. I think it may have been because my expectations were very low and I think he's such a good Doctor. Yes, the production values and writing may not have been the best, but I really do like most of his stories.

Started watching a few old episodes over again, so far the debuts of several favorite companions, Romana (II) and Nyssa, so that's Destiny of the Daleks, The Keeper of Traken, and Logopolis. Is there a part missing at the beginning of Logopolis or is that only on my streaming service? - never did find out what happened to the shrinking TARDIS.
Also wanted to watch something Sixie and started The Two Doctors, a favorite in which I think Troughton is just incredible, but was interrupted as so often happens when the one of the cats catches fire or somesuch.

My hubby and I finished watching Logopolis tonight. If you didn't find out what happened to the shrinking TARDIS, you're missing part of the story. It's 4 episodes. And it's the last Tom Baker episode, so there's a regeneration at the end.

Actually started the morning at 6 with the Silurians and Jon, cracking, watching the last couple of episodes now think l will crack on with the rest of the Beneath The Surface box set after this one. I do love the incidental music which is so BBC of the early 70s all clarinet, oboes, and misplaced drum sounds, really adds to the atmosphere. Also have the Silurians made and recent comebacks in BF, as I can't remember now. Still cracking stuff, I do enjoy 3rd Doctor stuff.

Well it would be rude not to watch the rest of the "Beneath the surface" box set just cracking through The Sea Devils, must say they are brilliant. I am enjoying them much more fifth time round.

The hubby and I started watching Castrovalva last night.
I've been musing on how quickly Tegan fell in with the whole TARDIS team after accidentally wandering into the TARDIS in Logopolis. Seems as though she got to a stage where she was coping and pitching in to get things moving very quickly. Which I think is kind of interesting considering she wandered in by accident, rather than by choice, or by being invited by the Doctor.
