Hello everyone! I've now added the prose Short Trips; annual stories and comic stories to the Fifth Doctor's timeline, including the recent Short Trip audios with Turlough. Enjoy! Tim.

Hello everyone! I've now updated the Fifth Doctor's timeline thread by having it as a page view instead of a PDF view for users to see. Enjoy! Tim.

The new Vortex (the one with War Doctor: Infernal Devices on the cover) seems to confirm the placement of Waters of Amsterdam right where you've placed it, right after Arc of Infinity: "Last month saw the first story as the Doctor, Tegan and Nyssa resumed their adventures, right after their defeat of Omega, in an adventure written by Jonathan Morris." That's a bit of a run-on sentence, and the lack of an Oxford comma makes me want to scream, but it's pretty unambiguous

The opening to The Eye of the Scorpion seems to imply that Five and Peri have only just begun traveling together as he's giving her a fresh tour of the TARDIS, which is something he's later do for Erimem in No Place Like Home. Production codes aside, this would suggest that all of the Peri/Erimem stories happen immediately after Planet of Fire with all the other Peri stories happening after Erimem's departure. Therefore:
Planet of Fire Eye of the Scorpion/No Place Like Home rest of the Peri/Erimem stories leading to Bride of Peladon Mission of the Viyrans Red Dawn and Exotron & Urban Myths short trips, comics, books etc. Key 2 Time and so on...

It's a little nitpick and fairly easy to ignore, but A Town Called Eternity places Red Dawn almost immediately after Planet of Fire, The Ultimate Treasure second and a couple of unseen adventures after that. The TARDIS is leaving Peri little housewarming gifts in Superior Beings as well, so it casts a murkier shadow over the whole placement.
Maybe you can stretch it out like...
Planet of Fire Red Dawn The Ultimate Treasure "A Town Called Eternity" Superior Beings Eye of the Scorpion <Erimem stories> Mission of the Viyrans Exotron, etc.

Okay! Thanks wolfie and elgranto for your comments and insight on this. I have amended the Fifth Doctor and Peri's timelines with the suggestions you've made and also referred to 'The History of the Doctor' website for help. I really feel that 'Exoton' and 'Urgent Calls' should take place after 'Red Dawn' and before 'The Eye of the Scorpion' since Erimen isn't mentioned in that story and it is the second solo CD with the Doctor and Peri in it. Hope this helps. Tim.

Hi Tim, Will you be updating this timeline with "And you will obey me" soon? I haven't listened to it yet but jbmasta said that he believes it fits between The Awakening and Frontios for the Doctor,as he mentions Little Hodgecombe. He was doing some maintenance on the Tardis when he picked up the signal that draws him into the story. I was also wondering if you are going to do a Master timeline soon? With these new Master releases coming out it seems a good time to get his story in order.

Hello captain jack I've been waiting for someone to tell me when 'And You Will Obey Me' will occur in the Fifth Doctor's timeline. I'll add it into the timeline soon. Thanks for your suggestion of it placed between 'The Awakening' and 'Frontios'. That's of great help. As for a Master's timeline. Well, I'll have to get around to that some time soon. When I don't know. Hopefully I will. Thanks. Tim.

Hello everyone! Just to put you in the picture. I've now updated 'Cold Fusion' as a (Book/Audio) story in the timelines for the Fifth Doctor, the Seventh Doctor, Nyssa, Tegan, Adric, Chris and Roz. I've also added a temporary placement for the 2017 Fifth Doctor trilogy in the timelines for the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa, Tegan and Adric. Enjoy! Tim.

Hey Tim, question about this one... I'm probably forgetting something obvious, but I'm curious why you've placed the two CDNM episodes (where the Doctor is companion-less) right in the middle of a run of episodes where he's travelling with Nyssa?

He makes a Tegan comment in The Burning Prince, when he's got in the back of his mind the fact she's coming back, so maybe he's got Tegan on the mind in Empire as well.

Sure, Tegan...but he's travelling with Nyssa (solo) at the time in which they're placed here. But in the CDNM titles, he is alone.

I’m pretty sure at some point during the Stockbridge trilogy, he leaves Nyssa on earth for a while to do a walking tour so that gives him a slot to have solo adventures. It’s kind of similar to the set up with Six having solo adventures with Frobisher during his travels with Peri.

Sure, Tegan...but he's travelling with Nyssa (solo) at the time in which they're placed here. But in the CDNM titles, he is alone. There's a bit of a complicated explanation there... Both of those facts are true. He is travelling with Nyssa, but during that particular gap he's also travelling alone. I'll explain, between the end of Autumn and the start of Renaissance of the Daleks, the Doctor and Nyssa are spending some time apart with him remaining in Stockbridge and her travelling to Rhodes (probably to distract herself from Andrew). It's implied that he doesn't pick her up until the events of Renaissance, which leaves a reasonable gap for things like the CDNM stories and anything else that might fit towards the earlier end of his life. It's kind of amazing that Five has gone from an incarnation with no solo gaps in his life to at least, well, five (post- Autumn, post- Arc of Infinity, post- The Awakening, post- Frontios and post- The Gathering, respectively). Not sure I would place warmonger so early in the doctor and peris travels, seems far more likely considering the circumstances that those events occurred not long before his regeneration, and I can't imagine the Peri who travelled with Erimem being as toughened as the Peri of Sixie's years, which she was by Warmonger.

What are everyone's thoughts about the placement of River Series 3 in the fifth Doctor's timeline?
