There's loads we need to explain Lex as he doesn't work at all.
1. Why does he hate Superman in this cotinuity? 2. How does he seemingly know about Darkseid? 3. If he can't beat Superman, how was he planning to control Doomsday?
I'd drop Lex knowing about extra terrestrial life and have HIS building be the one destroyed in Metropolis. Say it was his pet project and Superman/Zod destroyed it. That would at least give him a motivation.

I'm actually hoping that, if we end up with Darksied, we see him resurrect Clark, brainwash, and give him that army we saw in Bruce's dream. Something interesting and different for once.

It would be similar to that episode of the Animated Series. That episode was awesome, so I would be happy if the movie copied that premise.

The Darkseid stuff on Superman TAS was astounding. Not quite so great on Justice League but man...that earlier stuff was wonderful.
I've been waiting years for a big-screen Granny Goodness!

It begins!
Suicide Squad is getting some urgent reshoots (apparently tens of millions of dollars worth) to lighten up the tone amid concerns the public won't accept it being too grim right after BvS.

Good. I don't think I can EVER sit through another "dark and gritty" DC movie ever again after the travesties that were Man of Steel and BvS. Although from what I've seen of the International Trailer, Suicide Squad already looked pretty promising. Maybe it helps that they used Bohemian Rhapsody, my favorite song of all time!

Apparently the trailer had almost all of the humour from the film in it and - amid the backlash against BvS - this would be an issue, understandably. So they're adding in more - and taking some out - to make it more "fun" and not have, like we're seeing this week, people saying "We saw almost every one of the best bits in the trailers".
I bet they wish they had put Wonder Woman in the Suicide Squad release slot now.

To be fair, the reshoots were ordered before BvS was released. Though that doesn't preclude that WB didn't see this train wreck coming.

Wonder what the domestic dropoff will be for this weekend? nows when we really start to see if this movie has any legs. I'm guessing it won't have any.

Yeah, there are going to be some very, very nervous execs at WB this weekend. If there's a big dropoff then WB may struggle to get to the magic billion break even point. If that happens..where does that leave their plans? If they can't make money with Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman on screen together for the first time ever, I think the slate of films may well be radically revised and the budgets massively reduced.
I still think it's got a chance to make it's money back but not with much to spare - and they'll be soft-rebooting the whole tone of the "universe" now. I also wouldn't be surprised if we get a split with Zack Snyder. They've backed him with huge money for two of these now and neither is anything approaching a smash hit. Why - just from a business perspective if not creative - would you now let him do Justice League? He's the Kevin Feige of DC films but Feige is 11/12 for smash hits (with Incredible Hulk the only flop) while Snyder is looking to be 0/2.

While I hope they don't start slashing the slate and cutting back on budgets, I do hope that after this weekend they move him out of Justic League and put someone more fun in. Yes that would necessitate a delay, but it's probably the best outcome.

I was surprised that WB doubled down so instantly on Snyder. I'm not trying to bash him, I just found it odd that they handed him BvS and two Justice League films, the building blocks of their whole shared universe, without a more convincing track record.

I did enjoy it, but finding out certain things after the fact, like Jimmy Olsen being discarded by Snyder because he couldnt think how to use him. Well if you dont know how to use him, dont put him in the F***ing movie.
I found i could cut about 15mins from the run time (while i was watching)
Doomsday was Too big. Much bigger than he should have been.
They didnt need to show the other JL members on the video files. Just keep the logo's as a hint for us and only show Wonder Woman's file.
They needed to explain how Lex knows about Darkseid at the end.
Eisenberg was awful as Lex
Affleck was the best thing in the movie. This isnt the first time Batman's killed on screen (Batman and Batman Returns are huge proof of this).
I will watch the Extended R-Rated cut just to see what its like, to see what i'd cut from that as well and to see some Jena Malone (Mmmmmmmm)
Also they did reference alot of diverse storylines in the film. The Dark Knight Returns, Final Crisis, Infinite Crisis, Crisis on Infinite Earths, The Death of Superman and World Without Superman and probably a few others as well.
(Mmmmmmm Gal Gadot)
