Just started this - how great is it to hear that music! All very much larger than life so far and great fun! That theme music is truly great. Did anyone else hear a voiceover in their head saying "From the makers of Cold Water Omo..." whilst that music played? Yes! love those South African audios!

Well I have only hear one story, so far, but this is brilliant! The casting is spot on and it is simply a joy to listen to.
Hearing the trailer I did worry that the voices would be too over the top and that the story being adapted from a comic might be insufficient to fill a disc.
I worry too much!
It is Big Finish and boy do they know how to out together an audio!

I'm halfway through and it has passed the sit-in-the-car-after-I've-arrived-because-I'm-so-caught-up-in-the-story test. Bravo. Stupid grin plastered on my face.

I finished The Miser today. Another very happy hour spent with The Avengers.
Originally I wasn't sure about Mrs Peel when I first heard her in the trailer, but Big Finish did cast the character perfectly. Olivia Poulet is excellent, as is Julian Wadham as John Steed.

I just finished up the set and outside of thinking The Golden Dresses ran out of steam 3/4 of the way through, I loved it. Many laugh loud moments and I loved that John Dorney snuck in a On Her Majesty's Secret Service shout out with The Norse Code. Bring on volume 2. And 3. And 4....

Is Ochternochty or however it's spelt a real place? Because it turns up in IIRC a Scarifyers audio as well.

Blimey, well spotted! Auchternachty is my go-to made-up Scottish town. It's a cross between Auchtermuchty and "nacht", the German for night. (As the location of Glendoom castle, I wanted to hint that it was a 'dark' place... and, you know, I liked the sound of it.) Wishaw is a real place (not sure about West Wishaw, I just liked the alliteration). It's where my grandfather was born.

Ochternochty needs a loch, and that loch to be famous for its tea. So we can get the phrase "Ochternochty loch tea" said.
