Companion Chronicle CDs now out of print: (7.5) Return of the Rocket Men (7.12) Council of War Some trivia - The first batch of CDs that were produced for Council of War only had 1 track for the entire story. This mistake was quickly rectified by Big Finish. Are you sure? I got that in a sale only a year or two back and my CD was the one-track version. The remedied disc has a total duration of 74:46 minutes with 17 tracks. The replacement disc that I received was sometime during 2013.

So as things stand right now..
Home Truths (3.5) The Magician's Oath (3.10) The Stealers from Saiph (3.12)
The Guardian of the Solar System (5.1) Find and Replace (5.3) A Town Called Fortune (5.5) Ferril's Folly (5.11)
The Rocket Men (6.2) The Anachronauts (6.7) Binary (6.9) The Wanderer (6.10)
The Uncertainty Principle (7.2) Project Nirvana (7.3) Return of the Rocket Men (7.5) The Library of Alexandria (7.10) The Apocalypse Mirror (7.11) Council of War (7.12)
Ghost in the Machine (8.4) The Beginning (8.5) The Elixir of Doom (8.11)
...are now all OOP. A quarter of the range being offered cleared out in just over a day.
Which begs a question - if Big Finish can knock the prices of the Companion Chronicles down to this extent to clear stock (and who knows what'll be left by Monday night), can we look forward at some point over the next few months to perhaps a similar sale of those titles* languishing in the 'last chance on CD!'?
Keeping my fingers crossed that we might.
*and looking at you in particular, dramatised readings of Dark Shadows..😁

Keeping my fingers crossed that we might. *and looking at you in particular, dramatised readings of Dark Shadows..😁 Interesting - just bought 'Binary' less than 2 hours ago amongst a bulk purchase or 15 or so left that i did not have. Hopefully I will not get a cancellation.. I already had The Three Companions as extras from MR releases extras, but fancied the Box with the two DWM bonus releases and skipped a few releases with Romana 2, Nyssa & Leela as I wanted the Doctors 1,2 & 3 who are not represented elsewhere, but that just leaves me with all but 10 of the whole range, having seen five or six sell out since I held off purchasing yesterday as it would have been £75. This way I have kept to the £55 ballpark and quelled the nagging feeling of missing out. I will not lose sleep over not buying C D copies of those (quite a few) that I already have enjoyed as DL only purchases, such as the Scorchies, Time Museum etc. The great thing is that I love this range as it ressurects the early years of the series like the Virgin Missing Adventures sought, but with original cast members and a level of live action dramatisation that the Target Novel readings do not capture when performed by the same alumni. I will look forward to having them on the shelf, though goodness knows what will have to shift to make way for them as things are double stacked already... 1.1 - Doctor Who - The Companion Chronicles: Frostfire 2.2 - Doctor Who - The Companion Chronicles: Helicon Prime 3.1 - Doctor Who - The Companion Chronicles: Here There Be Monsters 3.2 - Doctor Who - The Companion Chronicles: The Great Space Elevator 6.1 - Doctor Who - The Companion Chronicles: Tales From the Vault 6.3 - Doctor Who - The Companion Chronicles: The Memory Cheats 6.4 - Doctor Who - The Companion Chronicles: The Many Deaths of Jo Grant 6.5 - Doctor Who - The Companion Chronicles: The First Wave 6.9 - Doctor Who - The Companion Chronicles: Binary 6.12 - Doctor Who - The Companion Chronicles: The Rings of Ikiria 7.8 - Doctor Who - The Companion Chronicles: House of Cards 7.11 - Doctor Who - The Companion Chronicles: The Apocalypse Mirror 8.2 - Doctor Who - The Companion Chronicles: The Alchemists 8.3 - Doctor Who - The Companion Chronicles: Upstairs 8.9 - Doctor Who - The Companion Chronicles: Starborn 5SP - Doctor Who - The Companion Chronicles: The Specials

"Surprised it took this long...but The Scorchies (7.9) has now joined the ranks of the OOP." In an idle moment, as I was thinking about the big sell-off and my favourite CC of them all, this came to me through the ether... So sing and shout! You sold us out! Our spinning plastic bodies are no more We were surprised We had survived We thought we would be first to go for sure!
But now we're gone Every last one So goodbye Cool Cat and the Magic Mice! Yes our CD Is O-O-P So now you'll have to pay the ebay price!
You could not have told us Benton fast outsold us! He was the first to march away with Rocket Men who quickly blasted off while on the shelf we lasted - here to fry another day!
But we're not proud We'll still download So you can hear The Scorchies kill and sing Give us a go With lovely Jo Who saves the world while making us a 'thing'!
It's time to stop We're out of stock No matter how you search and click and pout Now there's a thought - We've all been bought You've only gone and sold the Scorchies oooooooout!
(With the usual apologies and in huge admiration of James Goss' story and the Scorchies' performance of 'We Killed the Doctor Dead' and that brilliant music from FoxYason Studios! In this case if anyone wants to sing along you'll just have to put in the yah-ya-yas and toot-toots at the appropriate moments and won't that be fun? Oh yes... )

I ordered 14 to go with the 2 I bought at the weekend.
Big Finish should do these warehouse sales more often if you ask me...
