DW Unbound Masters of War
The CD offering for this story is still currently available. (I believe it was erroneously listed on the master update list by Big Finish during the clearance sale.) Neglected to be mentioned was: [2001] Doctor Who: Music from the New Audio Adventures: Volume 3 CD is out of print.

Unfortunately it's not a range that will leave many people crying that the titles have gone OOP...
(The 2000AD stuff should have been more popular than it was IMO.)

It should - it had some brilliant stuff. Death Trap and I Love Judge Dredd were terrific and I loved Strontium Dog's Down To Earth, it captured the feel of 2000AD more than any other release. Sadly anyone who wasn't in on BF years ago had little chance to get them without coughing up top prices second hand. I got them on release mostly. I wish the range did better - I'd kill for Rogue Trooper,Indigo Prime or Warlock audios. A.B.C Warriors, Bad Company and Slaine would have been great too. I've also got the BBC Dredd releases The Day The Law Died (brilliant) and The Apocalypse War (which also adapts the stone cold classic Block Mania). They're from the 90s so a good bit before BF did theirs but are well recommended to complement the BF range.

This range had download options though so for those to no longer be available would that not indicate a sudden lost/expired license rather than just physically out of print?

Late to the party on this one, but.. Woah, this was a shocker. I just started getting around to this range after picking up the downloads of the 'Crime Chronicles' releases via the warehouse sale. Guess I bought the still-available bundle at the right time (I did have a friend who could fill in the gaps, admittedly, so luckily I can still listen to them all...). Definitely an under-appreciated range, sad to see it all vanish like that. I'm going to guess this was a sudden license expiration, since it was brushed aside without any notice for last-chance purchases?

It's unusual that it is still listed on the ranges page. Maybe they haven't gotten round to removing it. Or maybe there is a legal discussion or renegotiation which might conceivably make the range available again. We'll have to wait and see.

This range had download options though so for those to no longer be available would that not indicate a sudden lost/expired license rather than just physically out of print? There had been a number of titles in that range which for years had been unavailable either for download or as a CD - I am wondering if this is a case of they were allowed to continue selling digital copies of titles provided they still had physical copies on hand and once those were gone the rights would have to negotiate a new contract. I seem to recall It being stated (Vortex I think) that this range never did all that well and nothing further would be attempted with it.

I have exchanged several emails with Ian & company a couple of years back about 2000 AD and as I understand it, the issues with making the OOP titles available again require man hours to figure out that Big Finish doesn't have to give. They still have the license, or the range would have already gone away. Nick has said several times over the years that he feels like some of the best work Big Finish has turned out can be found in that range.

There are some brilliant tales in 2000AD. The humour is fantastic, sound design and music top notch, and Toby Longworth is the perfect Dredd. Just as I always imagined him.
A great range. I had the pleasure of listening to the whole series a while back.

UNIT Snake Head UNIT The Longest Night
Since the July 16 "Back Catalogue Price Reductions" announcement - these 2 UNIT stories are now not sold out on CD. Big Finish must have unearthed a box of them.

DW MR NO 72 Terror Firma Regards mark687 As soon as I got the email about the End of Line sale, I knew this would be one of the first to go. Glad I decided to get all the 8th Doctor ones rather than go in number order first lmao
