The Tenth Doctor Adventures Volume 1 Limited Edition comes with a special disc to introduce newcomers to the world of Doctor Who on audio. It uses a mix of trailers, extracts from the stories and behind-the-scenes interviews. (It also has a few comments from Russell T. Davies at 58:26) The releases exhibited are: UNIT: Extinction The War Doctor: Only the Monstrous The Sixth Doctor: The Last Adventure The Fourth Doctor Adventures 5.01: Wave of Destruction The Churchill Years (Volume 1) The Main Range #211: And You Will Obey Me (The Two Masters Trilogy) Novel Adaptations #6: Damaged Goods Doom Coalition (Volume 1) (Eighth Doctor) The Diary of River Song Vortex 87, published the same month, has a similar list, with a more old-who slant. That list is summarised here.

Best quote from this: "It's a privilege ... to be given River Song to play with ..." Cheers Tony

Best quote from this: "It's a privilege ... to be given River Song to play with ..." Cheers Tony As my girlfriend is prone to say while watching genre shows.... "The fanfic writes itself!" LOL

Surprised they didn't showcase the EDA's, as they were deliberately designed to be more similar in tone to New Who than previous releases, and act as a great jumping on point for BF (I know of at least 1 person who got into BF after I reccomended Blood Of The Daleks to him)

I've wondered how come BF have managed to miss to arrange a sale that gives us a story for each of the companions mentioned in 8's minisode. "Wonder who the eighth Doctor is talking about? Just listen to these specially chosen stories and find out!"

I know the EDAs were some of the first things I checked out though.

Quick bit of art I mocked up for this for those who want to give it an individual space in their iTunes library.

I know the EDAs were some of the first things I checked out though. It might just be that Doom Coalition is a more recent release and the clips from the extras disc were easier to use than Blood of the Daleks (an hour of material to sift through as opposed to a ten minute behind the scenes feature).

Either way its a good mix, if you get the issue of Vortex with it. A good mix of old and new
