Well Nick Briggs said he doubted Big Finish would ever do the Time War...look at them now! So I guess there is always hope. Hope for the inspiration that explains just what the Nightmare Child is. I think the Time War is a different thing (and once it was shown on screen, bets were off!). For me, TNC is a bit like Zodin and the Corsair. They’re fascinating because they’re unknown. Sure, you could make a decent story with a character called ‘the Nightmare Child’, but you could probably just create another cool character instead. I entirely agree with this... The Time War was an interesting idea when it was first touted in 2005 - I found that by the end of Matt Smith's run, it was not really that interesting and I am glad that the focus of the series under Whittaker/Chibnal has been to move from this. Explore in books/other mediums if needed, but Time Lords v Daleks can only go so far.

I’m almost certain this is for the final Time War Boxset. Molloy Davros meeting his supposedly final end at the jaws of the Nightmare Child. That or Quadrigger Stoyn has returned to wreak his revenge. I doubt we’d ever do the Nightmare Child, to be honest. (Although I’ve a faint feeling it turns up in a book). One notes that the presence of Davros was not completely denied. Question is- does this mean anything or is just false hope?

Question is- does this mean anything or is just false hope? Well, as Terry’s said, he wasn’t in to do Davros this week. In terms of the Time War, I don’t think there’s much I can categorically rule out - who knows what plans others may have?

It's in the story 'The Third Wise Man' story in 'Twelve Angels Weeping' from 2018. It's a War Doctor story, and also details the Gates of Elysium.

For what it is worth I always thought of the Nightmare Child as a “thing” rather than a character...the offspring of (something like) a Supernova & a Blackhole. Plus sad to see you crossing off the Corsair from the list of characters I would like Big Finish to realise on audio.

So there's not that much scope for doing more with it, although this is the Time War, so who knows eh?

They may or may not turn up at some point. I don’t decide these things!

I was one of those nervous when the Time War started to be shown and stories were made. I don't think there is any way to adequately represent the events and images that came to my mind. Tennant got across the enormity of it in just a few lines and the imagination is so much better at creating that kind of all-encompassing event than special effects ever could.

Mr Blore is in something called "Time Apart", specifically an episode called "Ghost Station": www.spotlight.com/8817-8943-0479My immediate thought was that this was the Fifth Doctor boxset (I suspect it is what he was recording today as Jamie Anderson was directing and he's just followed him on Twitter)

mark687 'Cardiff' have a "writers' room" these days so BF should at least have a "writers' cupboard" (bigger on the inside to hold all that talent!)

Sounds like a good way to go. The Fifth Doctor needs some Tegan/Nyssa free stories and this is the chance to do it. Also allows for some character development as well. The extended interviews at the end of Warzone/Conversion imply that we might not be done with the Warzone universe yet, so this might be the Doctor going back to fix the damage there. Lots are still not finished or wrapped up properly...
