This was the best Gallifrey since Series 4. I liked this much more than I thought I would, even though there were some things that I didn't quite understand as well. One of then being Brax. I've heard all of the Gallifreys, but only some of the Benny stories. I know that Brax has changed, but I'm not sure how or what it means. It was mentioned in the last Benny set that I heard but that it didn't bother me. But here, I think it makes a difference in understanding the end. Is it possible to explain, or is it just too complicated? Braxiatel, outside of Gallifrey, has been several alternate selves at the same time - on Dellah, on Legion and on the Braxiatel Collection, each with a different fate, but each sometimes in contact with each other. He was one big paradox, and the Watchmaker fixed that.

By the way, I believe the people of Phaidon used to be called "Warpsmiths" in previous series of Gallifrey, but are now called "Warpwrights"(?).

The weakest part was episode 4, as it was obvious to everyone except the main characters that the Warpwrights are behind it all, not to mention time travellers being amazed that someone was in two places at the same time and saying that it's "impossible". Other than that, the box set was excellent.

I'm two episodes in and I really like the shorter format. I hope Ace gets more to do, otherwise, so far, so fun.

It was good - the Romana and Leela dynamic is particularly interesting and beautiful considering they were never on screen together. Ace needs mroe to do I agree.
Wehre to go from here? Naturally I am still curious to see a link between this Gallifrey and the one in the Time War however we know by Dark Eyes Romana is no longer president.

This was one of the best Gallifrey stories so far. The final episode was really confusing, but I still enjoyed it. i'm just a bit confused about what happenned in the final timeline. How did Narvin know about the plot with the ambassador and the Castellan? I took it that since the Moras explosion this time around was not going to bring about the destruction of Gallifrey, and Narvin was not being killed, they all had more time to investigate the events that led to the Moras explosion. Thus they found all the clues that were there in the other timeline, but found them earlier this time around.

Hmm, I think I'm in the minority here. That, for me, wasn't the best. I felt it was a complete misstep following the fab Intervention Earth. It was well done and well performed but I felt it was just a round the houses reset. I half expected some running up and down corridors. Did they just look at the end of IE and think "we don't know how to get out of this. Let's just have a shower scene." And much as the Leela/Romana scenes have their usual spark can these two not just damn well trust each other by now? Getting fed up of that. Mistrust Brax? Yep, that's fine.
Let's hope the next one is better. Well acted, well produced meh.

Well, I finally got around to listening to this. Just finished and I loved it! Even though I'm not entirely clear I kept up with all the strands of changing time lines. Fascinating! And I'd love to know how Brax's conflicting time lines will get straightened out. The thing about changing time lines was when some key people died, I kept thinking, okay, maybe they're not dead. Maybe this isn't the real time line. Loved how it ended. And loved the theme music. Gallifrey hasn't had one theme song that I haven't loved. All I can say is we definitely need more Gallifrey. Great stuff!

Did I miss something or was there a list of individual story names for these?

Did I miss something or was there a list of individual story names for these? It's a six-part story. Never any individual story titles. Same as Intervention: Earth. (Though there will be for Gallifrey: Time War).

I have tried three.times to get through this, and having such a hard time once again. Intervention earth left me cold, and the new age massage relaxing music with a hint of Miami vice guitar just grates me for this one. At one point I wondered why two people were clapping and realized, I think, that the ambient music had hand claps in it?
So for someone who loves gallifrey 1-3, hates 4, meh to 5 and 6 and bored in intervention earth:
1.). Should I press on? Is this necessary for. Gallifrey time war sets? 2.). While I love love love Romana and Leela, I have to admit I'm no fan of Ace. Does she appear significantly in time war?
I hate to sound so negative, but...I just...I'm not enjoying it. To be frank, the music is what is killing it for me. It just drains any tension from the story for me, vs some dramatic orchestration or something. And Ace....just never a fan, except when paired with Hex.

So I did complete it, and glad I did! After the first two episodes it got really interesting, even Ace was a tad less annoying except for her 'lets have her make funny earth phrases that baffle the time lords' schtick. Leela and Romana remain the most impressive parts of the series and how they respect each other and yet are so different remains the core of the series.
The music choices got a bit better, except for the strange wind chimes that apparently gallifreyan presidents put into their offices. It just reminds me of my friend who does Shakespeare in the park productions, and were doing twelfth night and their music guy rather than compose what they wanted, gave them some crazy Bulgarian zany music instead, and of course that destroyed any ambience they were after. Music just sets a tone, and the intervention earth made everything seem so blase and smooth, and this one especially in first two episodes just robbed the scenes of any urgency as it sounds like something you hear while getting a massage.
Glad I listened, much improved from intervention earth, and got the series going again after prior misfires.

This was another I picked up off eBay (lol when you think in long run it’s cheaper) but so good to get the download on the really cheap 😂
I had actually forgot how much of a reset this was after Intervention Earth but an actually very satisfying reset and I think it’s easy to forget this series when THE TIME WAR was getting set in motion.I was never sure of Landuas portrayal of Romana I liked it but I definitely didn’t feel it particularly stood out especially knowing how standout Landua was as Drusilla in Buffy and Angel. The rest though doesn’t feel like a cheat it’s satisfying in a way without cheapening the previous story. I was glad to revisit it on download,in fact I found it more satisfying than any of the TIME WAR stories.
