Am I right in thinking that this is the most recent release for the pre-TV Movie 7th Doctor? One of the more recent Subscriber Short Trips (The Night Before Christmas) had a solo Seven but I haven't heard it so I can't talk about where it fits exactly. Doom Coalition opens with a scene of 7 turning The Eleven into custody, and receiving the request to go pick up The Master's remains.

Oh, yeah, true - but that's going right into the TV Movie, so it's after Warlock's Cross and any other ongoing adventures of the later Seventh Doctor. (Hence why I forgot about it)

It actually isn’t a story that is in anyway diminished on relistening when you realise the sleight of hand. Our Three leads are all played to perfection.MacQueen and Beevers seem to especially relish their roles in this. Well the trilogy was enjoyable when taken as a whole. There’s a certain part of you that actually pities Beevers Master when he is caused pain ...can’t imagine he would feel the same about any of us 😂

Mind boggling brilliance from dorney! On a second listen, this is even better, the twists still work knowing they’re coming, Beevers, Macqueen and McCoy are doing some of their best work in their respective and not so respective roles, and the dialogue balances the darkness as well as the ham of The Master with such grace that one imagines it’s on a knife’s edge. Oh and as someone who can be critical of Big Finish’s tendency to overrun in their stories, at no point does this one sag, and feels like it’s actually shorter than it is while it flies by!

Started listening to this one last night. Wowza what a story! The Doctor is in fine form here as he slowly begins to understand the situation. Everything about this works. I want to highlight something we don't give enough praise to: the music! Jamie Robertson knocks it out of the park.
