Rambo: Last Blood, you all know i love me Stallone films but this was a very dark depressive movie which left me feeling numb. The Rambo franchise concludes with the fourth film for me as it gave the character closure & peace. This never felt like a Rambo movie, sorry Sly, your my action hero but you ruined the characters legacy with this instalment, I've literally given up hope on movies now...... Why Sly why? Looks absolutely horrendous. Like an ultra violent Trump Taken fantasy!

Money He gave him perfect ending in Rambo, closure gone home put demons to bed this film undoes all that saying he can never be at peace, it won't be going in my collection I'll just stick to the four films thank you.

I saw the trailer online two evenings ago - sort of previews all all the gratuitous violence as a selling point. The original is a great film and shows that Stallone can really act his chops off. It is fitting that the last film I saw was the Blu-ray version of Magnum Force - decades since I last saw it.First time round as a kid was the novelty of seeing David Soul off Starsky & Hutch as a bad cop. More pertinent now as an adult and indeed to the Rambo/Taken premise, is the anti vigilante argument. As Dirty Harry says - next thing you will be shooting people for parking violations/putting out the rubbish on the wrong day kind of offences (almost though not his exact words). Well, nowadays it seems to be happening in America with gun violence out of control and too many feeling they have a justification for their actions. Paul McGann cited a raft of such petty causes of gun violence prior to his quitting Twitter. Prescient indeed.

Paul McGann cited a raft of such petty causes of gun violence prior to his quitting Twitter. Prescient indeed. Magnum Force is my favourite Dirty Harry movie, it has a interesting storyline out the justice system & taking the law into one's hands if the system fails, as Harry says i hate the system but until someone comes along & changes it I'll stick with it. Rambo: Last Blood is a dark, depressingly bad movie, Sly is my idol, his films always delivered inspirational messages about beating the odds (Rocky, Over The Top, Lock Up) & even Rambo in the fourth film finds peace at the climax by going home which is the perfect ending for the character but nah let's just rip the characters heart out leave him with nothing, I'm surprised at sly his films inspired me with his monologue speeches now they depress me. This film tonally felt Death Wish more than Rambo.

There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

Went and saw IT Chapter Two yesterday with my eldest. Really enjoyed it and loved the way the two stories were intertwined this time around. I’d’ve liked to have seen more of that in the last movie but can get why it was done that way. The changes to the story felt natural and, while a few characters were cut, it didn’t feel less of a tale not having them. The big character change (in regards to Richie) didn’t bug me the way I thought it would and can even be backed up in the text. The only disappointment was the cg versioning Mrs Kersh which looked about ten years older than the rest of the effects.
I loved Stephen King’s cameo and my eldest and I have a bet on how long it will be before there’s a fan edit that puts the two stories together in a way that reflects the text more (I’m giving it 24 hours after the DVD release, they’re saying 12).

Only one of a few films i have actually enjoyed this year, brilliant film.

IT Chapter 2 I really enjoyed this, although it did drag a bit in the middle, the beginning was slightly rushed and it felt like some scenes were missing. But apart from that its a good film

IT part 1- I enjoyed the original Mini series am torn about this one though i guess its closer to the book in its disturbance,Probably why i never read it again. Am a non Gore Man and am touchy about what i consider entertainment.I guess my mother and father were right-be careful what you shove in your brain it gets hard to budge.
I gave up reading King years ago too. I finished off Dark Tower and then steered myself away for some reason.(and now i know why)
But very very well filmed
