The Hitman's Bodyguard - It's about 90% of the way there. If they cut half an hour from the movie and made it just a bit campier, wittier, and sillier and everyone knew what movie they were in, I think it'd be a really fun popcorn flick. Fortunately, Samuel L Jackson and Salma Hayek knew what movie they were in but Ryan Reynolds is miscast and I think that's what really brings it down enough to not overlook the missing camp I needed for this to really work.

Maleficent 2 with my sister. I have not seen the first one. Will have to rectify that, looks like a feel-good fantasy movie with a twist. According to my sister, is better than the sequel. For Maleficent 2- plot is basically "And the Silurians", but since it is a Disney movie, it has a happy ending and a wedding. Plus special effects. It was nice. But it is not going to win any awards for originality.

Got a free ticket, watched "Joker" again.
Great movie. My sister is not a comicbookmovie person in any way shape or form- she tells me she loved it.

Little Monsters. Rubbish. The only decent thing about this movie is Lupita Nyong'o.

2 Comic Dramas
Being Frank
(On a road trip before college, a young man is shocked to discover that not only is he Father a Bigamist. but that he's the Son of the 2nd Family)
The Old Man with a Gun
(Robert Redford stars a supposedly true life account of a ageing Bank Robber who stole thousands simply by going into banks and informing tellers he had a gun and politely asking for the money. Its like Catch Me if you Can, but with the roles age reversed)

Spy Probably one of Melissa McCarthy's best films and i love Statham sending himself up
Sudden Death A JCVD film that deserves more love. also Powers Boothe is a storm
Zombieland: Double Tap A sequel worth waiting for. Hysterical and not afraid to send itself up

Layer Cake - my first ever watch, and it was a great (over the top) British gangland thriller. Very enjoyable.
Edit: also rewatched Snatch, which was superb!

A double feature of The Evil Dead and Evil Dead 2.
We followed Bruce Campbell's instructions and watched the first film all the way through, and then switched over to the second when Ash is being flung through the trees. Despite all the talk about continuity problems in the series, it made for a surprisingly seamless experience. I guess that little recap at the beginning of 2 really throws some people.
Sure, there were small things - the state of the cabin wasn't 100% consistent. The trap door to the cellar had unbroken itself. Ash's boomstick went from one barrel to two. But these are minor. Good enough for me.
In Evil Dead 1, there's a shot where you see a box of Band-Aids floating in a massive pool of blood. I never noticed that before, and it got a big laugh out of me. That's up there with the Farewell to Arms joke in 2.

Hysterical and not afraid to send itself up Powers Boothe steals the show, he is hilariously bad & where else are you going see JCVD fight a mascot Penguin. I recommend checking out JCVD in The Order a very underrated action flick. Glad you enjoyed Zombieland it was a fun filled entertaining sequel.

Oh I'm not making that up. That movie exists - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rubber_(2010_film)

Terminator:Dark Fate, finally a Terminator flick that for the most part delivers a excellent continuation of the saga post T2, great action sequences, Linda Hamilton IS still a bad ass as Sarah Connor & Arnie despite only beong in the last hour of the movie gives his best performance in the role since T2.
My only gripe & it's a BIG Gripe is the John Connor arc, this really annoyed me with where his story goes & therefore goes down the ole PC route which I'm sick to death of.
Ratings wise. 8/10
