(Western. Alternate take on the final days of Billy the Kid. A young boy hires Billy the Kid to recue his "sister" from a bordello, however this puts Billy back on fate full collision course with Pat Garrett [Ethan Hake]).

Klaus
The movie had beautiful animation😊 and started off promising, but then got more predictable as it went along😕Also a horrifically awful pop music sound track that didn’t fit the tone at all!🥴🙁🤮

Little Monsters A fun Australian Horror Comedy. Featuring Lupita N'yong'o. So much swearing in front of kids lol
Le Man '66 Amazing film. Great story. Just flew by
Ben-Hur (2016) An interesting re-telling of the tale, did more jumping forward in time though than was needed i think

Klaus The movie had beautiful animation😊 and started off promising, but then got more predictable as it went along😕Also a horrifically awful pop music sound track that didn’t fit the tone at all!🥴🙁🤮 I'm not expecting the plot to be anything special. It looks like a bit of a retread of Santa Claus is Coming to Town. The Treasure Planet-esque 2.5D traditional animation is what I'm coming into it for.

It does definitely deliver in the animation department! 😀I will give it this it does bring back gorgeous fluid traditional animation! The snowscapes an the introduction to klaus’s workshop are animation highlights!😊 I think I would have liked it a lot better if they restrained themselves from putting in cheesy teenybopper pop music and stuck to some nice instrumental music😕🤔

Edward Scissorhands - I've always been quite taken by this weird little fairy tale. Tim Burton very much being his own stereotype here, but that's right up my alley. Not really sure why Burton's become the subject of mockery these days. This film, Beetlejuice, and Big Fish are all classics no matter how you slice it.

Just been to see Jojo Rabbit, it’s kind of a Trojan horse of a movie, but in a good way. The trailers make it look like a wacky Wes Anderson meets early Mel Brooks(The Producers, Twelve Chairs) comedy but its actually a slightly Andersonesqe with elements of Diary of Anne Frank dramedy, a very compelling one at that with a quirkily but well handled message against hatred and prejudice. This movie needs to be at least nominated for an Academy Award! The boy who plays Jojo is definitely going places as well he somehow managed to make something as horribly monstrous as a brainwashed Hitler Youth seem human! With the rampant prejudice and hatred in the times we live in a movie like Jojo Rabbit is an important one I think everyone should see!

I watched Hotel!, which remarkably stars Paul McGann, Peter Capald, Bradley Walsh, and Keeley Hawes😃 ....although unfortunately it was not quite as good as the Doctor Who goody bag of a cast or premise of Airplane meets Fawlty Towers would suggest 🤔 Although it did make me want a multi doctor big finish story with 8 and 12, Paul McGann did look pretty hot, and it did have this.... youtu.be/GSOi1kV0hjA

Captain Marvel
(I avoided this on Cinema release as the press reaction seemed overly harsh, having now seen it, I get it. Liarson, Law and Bennett seem to have the same character direction "Your the Best in the Universe everyone else is beneath you", so consequently the best performance is Samael L Jackson who plays Nick Fury as a sincere and earnest but also comic sidekick. Lower end of the films for me I'm afraid )

Spider-Man Far From Home, great movie but i still think the supporting cast poor compared to Maguire/Garfield.

Night of the Living Dead - A horror classic that stands the test of time extremely well. And it's in the public domain so there's no excuse for not seeing this film. Going back, it is interesting to see some unusual behavior for Romero-type zombies like their tool usage: the first cemetery zombie uses a brick to smash a car window, the little zombie girl kills her mother with a trowel.
I got the Criterion Blu-Ray over the weekend for my birthday and it is gorgeous. What a terrible shame Dawn of the Dead has been out of print for a decade now (at least in Region A).

Honey, I Shrunk the Kids - stands up pretty well. I completely forgot that Buffy's mum was in this movie
