Does anyone else find it a bit strange the Torchwood releases don't say 'From the Worlds of Doctor Who' on them, given it is a Doctor Who spinoff?

"From the Worlds of Doctor Who" only appears on Big Finish original spin-offs as some sort of copyright reference (I'm assuming). As Torchwood is a licensed product all of its own, rather than an original creation that needs to have its source material references, there's no need for it.

Not really from the recent licence extension its clear that while they're covered by the same licence BF or the BBC want to keep some distinction between them, or Torchwood could now be a Brand Name in its right.

"Worlds of" is a BF thing, Torchwood is a BBC thing.

Regards mark687 Actually, Torchwood's an entirely separate licence. In the same way neither The Sarah Jane Adventures or Class would be covered by the new series Doctor Who extension... "From the Worlds of Doctor Who" is basically identifying ranges that are just that: characters that have only previously featured in Doctor Who, whereas Torchwood was already an entirely separate spin-off in its own right.

Cheers Scott
I was going to say that then changed my mind, should've gone with gut instinct.

That makes sense. I hope you get the Sarah Jane Adventures license at Big Finish at some point because some SJA Companion Chronicles would be interesting to hear. Loved watching the show when I was a kid.
