Okay, the new season of The Walking Dead starts on Sunday/Monday (depending on where you live), so what do we expect from Rick Grimes and the gang in this season, and what regular do we think will die first? As always, I am putting my money on Glenn. (Please!) I think this is going to be one of the best seasons of The Walking Dead anyway, so I am looking forward to Monday... bring it on.

Since this is a spoiler thread. If it follows the comics some major crap should be going down this season. Id put money on Glenn or Daryl. Unless Robert Kirkman steps in

Well, if you know who (and his baseball bat) turn up this season, then most people's money will be on Glenn to get a whack. I'd be very disappointed if it didn't happen then!

A decent season opener that showed just how wonderful Andrew Lincoln is as Rick who along with Lennie James as Morgan both dominated this episode & the cliffhanger was excellent.
My only quibble is i didn't like flashback scenes shot in B & W & felt it a bit jarring.
I'd rate this one 8/10.

It was decent episode. The black and white needs to go so does the odd manner of storytelling they chose for the first episode.

It wasn't a really great opening episode, but I still liked it. Some good moments, and plenty of zombies! The b/w scenes spoilt the narrarive for me, so I hope they don't do too many of those every time they do a flashback. It was good to have the gang back though, and set things up for what's coming next... just who is blowing that horn?!

This particular episode had an unusually large scope to it! And, the artistic decision to film the past tense scenes in black and white, I wholeheartedly embraced. Its cliffhanger with the mysterious horn blowing that unexpectedly thwarts Rick's plans (at least for the next while) was a gripping way to end an episode. Cheers to all of us enjoying season 6 of The Walking Dead!

I enjoyed the second episode more, once again Carol becomes Ripley/Sarah Connor & saves the day & bakes a mean cake.

Yeah, I thought the second episode was a lot better than the opening episode too... it started slowly enough and there I was thinking that this was just some peaceful Alexandria interlude episode while Rick & Co were off doing the business redirecting the zombie hoard; then crash-bang-wallop, full scale mayhem was unleashed! Brilliant stuff. One of the best episodes of the series ever I reckon. Carol stole the show this week, as a woman most definitely not to be messed with. I like Morgan too, but the not wanting to kill people thing seems a bit unrealistic when faced with people like the Wolves, so it'll be interesting to see how that policy plays out during the season.

After watching the first 3 episodes of TWD season 6, it has become very apparent that when Rick gives direction that guidance should be heeded! Characters that choose not to will find themselves in great peril or DEAD...

S06E03: Thank You:
Convincingly being trapped between 2 substantial herds of walkers on both sides of a metal mesh fence with barb wire topping, is "he" really dead? Or, was his apparent death a fake-out of which the show has never attempted before? His death did seem rather surreal...

When a episode has you wishing away one week of our life to see what happens next means that this series shows no signs of tiring.
Hey if Kathy Beale can cheat death so can you know.

Unfortunately, I think Glenn will survive... for now.
Great episode though, it really racked up the tension level a few notches and yes, Monday can't come quick enough!

Hey if Kathy Beale can cheat death so can you know. Dallas (1980) season 3 finale cliffhanger:One of the most famous television viewer speculation debates, that I remember, was whether or not J.R. Ewing would survive being shot twice in the abdomen or be killed off. " Who shot J.R.?" was the CBS network's popular and successful catchphrase. Larry Hagman's character J.R. was *almost* killed off due to his real life steep increase contract renewal demands! I never watched Dallas myself, but I did watch Hagman in I Dream of Jeannie. Simon, you seem to be rather savvy with the Eastenders, are you a viewer yourself?

Unfortunately, I think Glenn will survive... for now. I hope Glenn survives! Yes, at times during 2 or 3 seasons he could be annoying, but lately in my book he is now forgiven! For the most part, I don't want to know "major" correlating TWD comic book spoilers. However, today a co-worker mentioned a modest revelation that Rick loses his hand in the comic book. As we can see in S06E03, Rick is nurturing an injured left hand. I hope he doesn't lose his hand in the TV series - how awful that dose of reality would be!
