I do so wish they'd get full-cast readings in the style His Dark Materials did a while back.
Yes, you'd need some standins, but I think you'd be able to find suitable readers.
EDIT: went over some old posts where I posited who could read which parts. Some of it holds up, but others not so much these days...
For the regular 1970s cast:
OG Barnabas - first pick is still Bernard Holley.
David - Alec Newman with his voice pitched up a bit?
Toni - Lara Parker, obviously
Jacky - Perhaps Kathleen Cody? Or even Stephanie Ellyne?
Roger - still a toughy. Walles Hamonde?
Liz - Nicole Bryant. I think she can pull it off these days.
Carolyn - Not a recast! Nancy Barrett can reprise the role.
Quentin - ditto for Selby
Julia - I'd previous floated Jacqueline Pearce, but that is unfortunately no longer possible
Not sure who my next choice would be...
Willie - John Karlen
plus some townsfolk, police, schoolkids, etc.
Now, for additional voices for Angelique's Descent (I'll save the rest for when Trace is caught up again
)
Young Ange - whoever's playing Jacky/Miranda
Young Barnabas - Alec Newman, maybe? Or just have Holy pitch his voice up. He's shown he can do it in BF's Who audios.
Young/Jeremiah - He's only in like one scene so just have whoever's playing him later pitch their voice up.
Ange's Mother - Barbara Steele. She played a Martinique witch in The Night Whispers, let her play one again!
Ange's Father - I would have gone with David Ford for Mr Bouchard, but it's hard to say who I'd go with now. Perhaps Jerry Lacey?
The Plantation slaves - new actors.
And the 1795 cast can correspond to who they would with the current audio actors, subs where necessary. Like, for Andre DuPres, Matthew Waterhouse (since he's my pick for recasting Sam, if ever necessary)
