Well done to Whovitt! So, who can guess the October selection?! Correct guess get an autographed copy of Vortex.

I'm going to echo Whovitt (again!) and go with Singularity.

Right, well, without the hint we got with September, October is going to be much more difficult... But I'll give it a shot The potential tie-ins could/would be: Torchwood (for The Archive); Jago & Litefoot ( Series 12); 8 and Charley (mainly due to The Chimes of Midnight, though it could possibly relate to just 8 due to Doom Coalition 3); Dorian Gray ( Series 5); 5 and Peri ( Rulebook); 1/Ian/Vicki ( The Fifth Traveller); and 5 and Turlough ( The Memory Bank and other stories). Well, that narrows it down... I'll start with the ones I think are the least likely: 1) If it's Torchwood, I would run with The Conspiracy, as it would just sort of make sense to use the first release rather than any of the others (although the Torchwood range is quite new, so I'm not confident it will be featured). 2) Jago & Litefoot do have some non-box set releases, but I would think it more likely for one of those to be the Listeners title for January to tie in with The Beast of Kravenos (particularly The Justice of Jalxar). 3) I don't know much about Dorian Gray, but looking at the product page there don't appear to be many/any stories that really fit the Listeners' bill, so I'm not going to suggest any titles for it (I'm going to regret this, aren't I? ). 4) 5 and Peri is difficult - all the stories that would benefit from the discount also feature Erimem, and (being as singled minded as I am) that seems to suggest that there's no story that fits 'the mould' of relating to a release for the month. 5) And lastly there's 5 and Turlough. I've explained my reasoning earlier in the thread why I thought the title for October would be Singularity, as it's the only story featuring these two that isn't already at £2.99 on download. However, Kenny has has already told us that it isn't this, and I can't think of any other releases that 'fit the mould', so I'm going to say it isn't this pairing. Now for (what I think) are the more plausible suggestions: 1) Since there is a 'modern' 8th Doctor story coming out as well as a re-release of a classic, I think it more likely that the classic will be promoted (especially since Doom Coalition 3 could easily be promoted at the same time). So, if we're looking at 8 and Charley, then it will have to be The Girl Who Never Was, as Scherzo is the only other 8/Charley story not already at £2.99 (and, from what I've heard, The Girl Who Never Was is a very well-loved 8/Charley story, and the whole reason The Chimes of Midnight is getting a vinyl release is because it's a well-loved story - I'm just putting a potential two-and-two together). However, I seem to remember The Girl Who Never Was being a Listeners title some time last year, so I'm not sure how confident I feel about that one. 2) And (finally...) we reach The Fifth Traveller. There are lots of possible releases for it - the question is, which one...? There are any number of potential Companion Chronicles that it could be. I decided on running the search engine on the website and correlating the stories featuring both Ian and Vicki, which brought me to The Rocket Men, The Sleeping City and Starborn. The Rocket Men doesn't strike me as likely for some reason, so I'll discount that one, but the other two are possible. Another option would be the other Early Adventure featuring the characters - The Doctor's Tale. So (if you've bothered to sift through all that ), those are my suggestions for October. If I still haven't got it... damn it! Give us a heads up when you've sorted November, Kenny - I'm really quite enjoying this

I'm going with The Conspiracy. It was in last year's Humble Bundle so BF clearly aren't afraid to discount it.

Probably very silly of me but I'm going to take a wild guess with The Heroes of Sontar because it seems like it might be the most possible tie-ins, even if it means Sontaran stories two months in a row. They could add in-context pointers to The Memory Bank, J&L & Strax > J&L 12, and the recently rescheduled War Doctor.

Whovitt is very much on the right lines with their logic, in terms of suggestions.

I think you might have got it with probably The Girl Who Never Was, although possibly The Doctor's Tale?

C'mon, Whovitt, narrow it down for us. You have so many thoughts, I can't tell which kennysmith is hinting is close to the right guess. With my luck, it'll be something I own already, as usual.

For the 1st Doc, I am thinking it is either The Perpetual Bond as it is the introduction of a new traveller in the Tardis which could fit along the lines of The Fifth Traveller or The Bounty of Ceres as it has Vicki. There are my guesses.

Sigh... Still not it? Okay, if not The Bounty of Ceres, then The Dark Planet or Solitaire?

I take that to mean I still didn't get it You're very close. It's good, but it's not right. Can I ask if the title as been affected by Doom Coalition 3 or The Chimes of Midnight being moved forward (as in, was the title related to them or not )? Or could you narrow it down to one of my more plausible titles or less likely ones? If it will spoil the fun though, keep us in the dark I'll have another comb through soon, university permitting

Okay, maybe it's The Secret History with the Fifth Doctor and Vicki, to commemorate both the release of the Fifth Doctor and Turlough and a new story with Vicki?
(If it still hasn't been named, it's up to you, Whovitt. I'm completely out of guesses). :-)

(If it still hasn't been named, it's up to you, Whovitt. I'm completely out of guesses). :-) Well, at this point, without any other information, all I have left to suggest are what you and masterdoctor have already posted - The Perpetual Bond, as a First Doctor story with a new companion, and Solitaire, which I'd actually forgotten about as an 8 and Charley story. I highly doubt that a 6-parter would be reduced that much, so I'm discounting The Dark Planet, and I personally think The Bounty of Ceres as a Vicki story and The Secret History as a Fifth Doctor and Vicki story are pretty unlikely, as (particularly Solitaire) has a much stronger link to an October release... except that The Chimes of Midnight has been brought forward to September We should keep in mind that The Chimes of Midnight and Doom Coalition 3 were still October releases when the Listeners title was selected...

We should keep in mind that The Chimes of Midnight and Doom Coalition 3 were still October releases when the Listeners title was selected... A good point I'd completely forgotten. Hexagora would to the Fifth Doctor MR release, and to The War Doctor because of Dan Starkey and Jacqueline Pearce appearing in both. I'm probably wrong again but that really is my last guess.

Yes, it's all very mysterious, isn't it? Yet the correct item has probably been named since I think this thread must name every Big Finish title by now.
