I don't see why not. I love audio drama (re: my signature line) in all of its forms and this is probably the best place for such discussion here.

Please do. I set this category up specifically to allow us to express wider interests. I also have a small blog going aimed at promoting all of what I call genre audio. I will be linking to it here at some stage

I have been listening to the South African made Avengers serialisations which l think now are public domain. Which are excellent. You can see where the writers from BF took a few leads from. I will post the web site where you can listen if anyone is interested.

In the UK (and I suspect via a VPN elsewhere)BBC Radio 4 Extra do a sterling job each week around 6pm UK time and midnight Saturday/Sunday with a programme called the 7th Dimension which Nick Briggs, and Tony Hadoke sometime host, this showcases BF audio as well as BBC produced Who related, however, they also tend to air quite a lot of other interesting audio drama which is always interesting and pleasure to dip into. Wally K Dick's play last night with good old Nick Courtney was rather brilliant. Next week they are broadcasting Torchwood. The fact that a lot of this is not something that I may personally dip into and listen makes it more interesting to discover.

There are various radio plays and things I've heard about that I'd love to find and hear.

I've got absolutely tonnes of Lux recordings from the golden age of Hollywood, and some of them are just amazing - especially when one big star would be unavailable so another would be roped in. So we can have Goodbye Mr Chips with Laurence Olivier standing in for Robert Donat, His Girl Friday with Fred McMurray, Here Comes MrJordan with Cary Grant replacing Robert Montgomery and many, many more. It's like peeking into a Hollywood elseworlds.

The Hollywood Elseworlds thing really got me when I clicked on Casablanca and it was Alan Ladd and Hedy Lamarr ("it's Hedley!") instead of Bogey and Ingrid Bergman. My brain just screamed "Nnnnoooooooo!"... but I love these radio plays.

If anyone's curious about some ol' Space Age sci-fi, I can see if can track down a readily available run of X-Minus One? Asimov, Godwin, Sturgeon, Bradbury, they've the lot.

"You will merely be risking your lives, whilst I will be risking an almost-certain Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor." One of my fave of the oddities of the OTR is Judy Garland plays the lead in A Star Is Born...about 13 years before she made the film - she's remaking the Janet Gaynor role of the 30s version for the radio before doing the musical remake with James Mason much later. Ye cannae beat it.

No I really don’t... I have searched but alas! Sounds like a fantastic story nonetheless. Hmm... Do you remember if it was mono or stereo when you last heard it?
