I'd rather him come back in Discovery anyway, because I don't think the character would work to well in a movie.

There was a Tribble in Into Darkness. That was just a silly flippant remark, I had no idea they were in "into darkness", maybe my friend is right & the odd numbers are OK in this series of Star Trek movies.

I still don't know what Star Trek Into Darkness or Star Trek Beyond are supposed to mean except the studio doesn't want to put a number after Star Trek. Star Trek Beyond. Beyond what? Anyway, I would like a Kelvin timeline Star Trek movie that continues on the path of the last movie. Beyond What? kind of felt like a proper Trek movie. It had more of a family unit aspect to it. It had more of a sense of humor. It had the Enterprise exploring deep space. It was the first new Trek movie to really nail the Spock/McCoy dynamic. I want more of those things please. And Romulans. And Klingons.

They had a very unusual role. {Spoiler} After Dr. McCoy pumped Khan's blood into a dead Tribble (I can't remember why he did that) the Tribble came back to life. That's how he realized that he could use Khan's blood to bring Captain Kirk back from the dead.

George and Gracie, the more rogueish Kelvin-timeline versions I'm good with the idea of time travel being involved, perhaps a story not too unlike 'All Good Things..." with timelines converging to help stop the galaxy going kaput. Hemsworth as George Kirk could provide the link to the past and perhaps a female descendant of Kirk could play a part on a future starship. I don't know really, i'm sure it'll be fun.

George and Gracie, the more rogueish Kelvin-timeline versions George and Gracie come from before 2033. They wouldn't have been affected by the timeline change.

I just don't think it would be worth bringing Q, or any other Q, back without John DeLancie.

Maybe Tennant as Q? He can dance on that sinister/lovable line like few others.

And too much of a bad thing with itself. Poor series never got a chance, if you look at the behind the scenes stuff it was always crushed into an itty box and never allowed to have much of any good thing.

I don't want t see anything specific in the next Star Trek film, bar a next Star Trek film!
I have enjoyed all of the recent ones (2009 onwards), so I just hope they carry on as they have been doing...
