MASH: Season 2, Episodes 15-16 - A grateful general installs a new officers' club; Henry is smitten with a young floozy. I'm noticing Hot Lips becoming a lot more friendly toward Hawkeye lately.
Star Trek: The Animated Series: "The Eye of the Beholder" - Pretty average episode but it's chock full of that TAS brand of weirdness.

The Mandalorian ep.2. This is getting interesting. I love that this episode is essentially a chamber piece.

More Star Trek: Discovery s.2. Things are picking up steam. So now that I've watched an episode with new Sarek & new Spock I am once again bothered by the question of how is it make-up techniques from 50 years ago look better than make-up techniques today? I am referring to the Vulcan make-up. Granted this is something which has bugged me since the Next Generation days but the original series Vulcan make-up just looks better. More natural. Just weird. Anyway....

MASH: "For Want of a Boot" - Hawkeye's boot has a hole in it, and to get a new one he must go through an elaborate chain of trades and deals. This is very, very similar to the superior episode "The Incubator" from earlier in the season, but I will admit the birthday party for Frank is kind of cute.
Star Trek: The Animated Series: "The Jihad" - Season 1 ends with Kirk and Spock lead a multi-species team to recover a lost artifact from an unstable planet. Fun quest-format type episode that might have benefited from being longer.
Columbo: "Publish or Perish" - Jack Cassidy commits his second publishing-related murder. A very enjoyable ride with a somewhat weak final clue. The opening 15 minutes make heavy use of freeze-frame, Dutch angles, and split-screen. I think this is the earliest TV episode I'm aware of to combine those kinds of techniques into one stylish sequence like this. Filmic.

Hello again. "Sleep forever...." rings out the chorus of Loup Garoux's title music. Yes it's the silly but rather engaging zombie sitcom Zomboat from ITV2. You want to see a zombie apocalypse centered on Birmingham? A Brummie Walking Dead? Yes this is for you. The sharp and ridiculous writing sucks you in. Mainly due to the relationships between the main characters. Their method of escaping from the zombies is really unusual and adds to the humourous setting. I really enjoyed it because it is joyously silly but the zombies are still really nasty. I've reached episode 6 where there is a great twist. My favourite joke: "Wait for us for 2 hours." "What if you're not back?" "Wait longer." Also the episode in the supermarket is a lovely example of farce.

MASH: Season 2, Episodes 18-20 - Hawkeye helps a soldier get an illegal nose-job (what??); Radar may or may not have fathered a child with a local; a long stretch of nothing going on comes to an end as our heroes operate on mass casualties while under heavy bombardment.

Supergirl, soon as Crisis is done with I'm outta here, lost interst in the CW shows. i'm liking Batwoman, Arrow (which I've come back to after not watching for the last 3 years) and Black Lightning. I have come to hate almost everything about Supergirl Flash is starting to really bother me.

MASH: Season 2, Episodes 21-22 - Another winter episode where the camp runs low on supplies, camaraderie ensues; Frank is mean to a gay.
Also started whacking away at my contemporary backlog again:
Family Guy: "Cat Fight" - Quagmire opens a cat cafe. Bleh.
South Park: "Season Finale" - Probably the weakest episode so far this year, seems like the Tegridy Farms plot is coming to an end.
