Is the calendar purely Who or can we post say Comic-con and such type events, the up and coming one in London has Colin attending so I just wondered.

For me they are all part of the same thing, so I have no issues ...

As long as it's reasonably connected why not. I'm surprised at how thus us turning out and a positive sign this is our forum for us

I would say the general rule should be it's something a fan of BF's audio might reasonably be interested in.

There are a lot of cons around that include Doctor Who guests but are not strictly Doctor Who cons. We have two a year here within very close driving distance of where I lived. I haven't posted them because they aren't strictly Who, but I could. Some Doctor Who guests have been announced for the one in January (which I will probably end up going to one day of).

I think if there are Doctor Who or Big Finish guests it would be fine to post.

I agree, can't see any issues when there are related guests appearing. I already added an "audience with Chris Benjamin" as it may be of interest to Jago & Litefoot fans . Cheers Tony

Would location factor into it as well? There can't be many of us who aren't based in the UK or US, or able to travel to conventions based there, so is there any point in putting conventions based in places like Australia and New Zealand on the forum calendar?

There can't be many of us who aren't based in the UK or US, or able to travel to conventions based there, so is there any point in putting conventions based in places like Australia and New Zealand on the forum calendar? It should be open to everyone, anywhere. I think UK and US tend to be better represented because those of us located there spot them - we don't always see what's happening anywhere else. However if there is a convention in your country, let us know about it and we will put it on the calendar. Cheers Tony

We for sure do have Australian members, I think if one of us who posts on a regular or even semi-regular basis thinks a con maybe of interest to others here, it probably is and is probably suitable for the calendar.

Also whose to say someone wouldn't want to travel to another country for a convention.
We actually had people from Australia & Europe at the convention I just attended in Long Island NY.

As for appearances, my favorite source is the Blogspot site Doctor Who Actor Appearances. It lists just about everybody under the sun and relies on people to send in news, so the more people who know about it the more accurate it is.
