I have loved Shakespeare since high school. Hamlet is wonderful, but actually my favorites of the ones that I have read/seen are: Macbeth (tragedy), Much Ado About Nothing and A Midsummer Night's Dream (comedy), and for the historicals I have a hard time choosing between Henry IV parts I and II, Henry V, and Richard III.
I would love it if BF would start doing Shakespeare on a regular basis.

Lovely indepth & insightful interview by philomina with both Scott & Alex about their new production of Hamlet. 9 Months is much too far away... A piece in three acts on Shakespeare's "Hamlet" at Big Finish. First, actor Alexander Vlahos on his journey with the character of Hamlet. Second, both Alex and director Scott Handcock on their shared process and hopes. And third, Scott on the realisation of this ambitious audio drama...Read The Interview Here

This will be interesting. A lot of people always say that Shakespeare is boring to read and they hated reading it in high school. Well of course it's boring, Shakespeare wasn't writing books, he was writing plays. It should be interesting to hear what this story sounds like just on audio. Shakespeare's works have only been adapted a few times as audio dramas.

I would love it if BF would start doing Shakespeare on a regular basis. I love Much Ado and Midsummer Night's Dream, but my favourite play is The Taming of the Shrew. I think I'd go for Richard II over Richard III (Mark Rylance freaked me out when I saw him as Richard III with his tiny shrivelled hand and I'm still not over it), but the Henry VI plays are often underrated, oh, and King John with all its machinations, and Two Gentlemen, and The Winter's Tale and...
Basically I agree with you. Shakespeare on a regular basis. Lots of it, and if they want to branch out, how about The Knight of the Burning Pestle by Beaumont? I really think Big Finish could make a big-hearted extravaganza of this mad muddle of a play.

Hope BF does the sequel, Omlette. You can't make a Hamlet without breaking all the eggs at the end...

I'm waiting. I'm being good. I'm not listening to the excerpt. It's probably one of the first releases in August. There's already download links. Divergent Universe give me strength.

And it doesn't look good for poor yorik either I think my source got a bit muddled, he was talking about a play within a play? Bold move if true.
