I can confirm this. My entry is one of them. Congratulations I look forward to hearing it Thanks! I really hope you enjoy it, as it's an unusually emotional, personal story. I can't wait to hear the other four Subscriber Short Trips, and I'm thankful to Ian for expanding the competition this year, giving so many opportunities to so many writers.

Again, congrats to the winners. Would anyone be interested in contributing to the Jago and Litefoot Anthology that we're putting together. Those of us who did not hear back from the Paul Spragg contest still wanted to keep writing Doctor Who stuff. So we are creating an anthology to raise money for a charity related to the late, great Trevor Baxter. If you're interested please check out the thread in the Divergant Wordsmiths area of the forum. notthebigfinishforum.freeforums.net/thread/3473/jago-litefoot-charity-anthologyIf you do want to contribute, please send a synopsis of your proposed story to jandlanthology@gmail.com

Curious if we'll get an announcement of the other STs, or even their own pages on the site.

Curious if we'll get an announcement of the other STs, or even their own pages on the site. It's a nice idea from BF and must reflect the high quality of the entries. They might just pop up on the list of forthcoming Sub STs: www.bigfinish.com/pages/v/doctor-who---subscriber-short-tripsPerhaps BF will give them away as MR sub bonuses in months separate from the normal quarterly Sub STs, which they will already have commissioned from writers presumably well in advance, meaning that the quarterly schedules will be full for some time?? Otherwise we will be waiting too long to hear them! And if they want to do something similar in following years, they would never catch up with only 4 normal Sub ST slots per year and 5 'runners-up' this year alone, unless we got a 'double bonus' (hint )

Hello again.
Well done to all those whose stories were recorded. I look forward to hearing them as they are released.
It is to Big Finish's credit that they seek out new writing talent in this opportunity. The 2016 competition, got me writing again after 20 years.

It is to Big Finish's credit that they seek out new writing talent in this opportunity. The 2016 competition, got me writing again after 20 years. Yes indeed, well done to all and BF! I hope we don't have to wait too long to hear them ( me being impatient, how impatient must the writers feel?!) and that BF will do this in future years too - but that might need more than 4 Sub STs per year to keep up with the numbers. Because I'm sure there will never be a lack of high quality entries to pick from and choosing just four each year would be a challenge - with five runners-up chosen in this first year alone.

I hope that doing the runner-ups as well becomes a regular event, because more Doctor Who is always good. And, y'know, it helps our chances if we can be in the top five rather than the very best.

As a related aside (courtesy of the TS crew):
"Pencil Tip Publishing is looking for a last-minute substitute for their upcoming Temporal Logbook 2 charity anthology. If interested, they're looking for a 5,000 to 8,000 word Eighth Doctor story, and a 3-week turnaround time. You can reach editor Bob Furnell at: penciltippublishing@shaw.ca for any further details.
Matt"

twitter.com/MaxCCurtis Haha, hello again, all. I think I'm allowed to say it's a Third Doctor story, though nowhere near as high-concept as Selim's. (And, I'm sure, not nearly as good.)
