The bundle prices for series one and two look attractive ($12 and $15 NZD respectively for downloads), but PHP is still very expensive (40 NZ dollars for the download!?!?!?). Good chance for people to get the Lost Stories Box Set though.
If people want recommendations, I can recommend Wrath of the Iceni from series one and Auntie Matter, Justice of Jalxar and Phantoms of the Deep from series two. Series one didn't do much that stood out from the crowd. If you like the Master, White Worm and Oseidon Adventure are worth a listen (the download for each is a great bargain). Sands of Life/War Against the Laan and Dalek Contract/The Final Phase are best bought together, since they form a loose character arc for Cuthbert, the David Warner character. Both box sets are top quality, but it does appear you will have to pay top dollar to get them. I'd give the edge to the Lost Stories Box Set, since that's a lot more affordable than PHP. You'll still shell out a lot, but less than for the PHP.

+1 on Wrath of the Iceni, though some people don't like it!

+1 on Wrath of the Iceni, though some people don't like it! Why not? It's an interesting character study for Leela and her warrior mindset as well as a great appearance of a historical guest star you wouldn't automatically think to use (on a side note, Confessions of Dorian Gray is fantastic for the latter).

A couple of people I know think it is flawed as a story or not representative of Leela at the time. It's a half remembered discussion with another reviewer over some beer a couple of years ago!

Darn. Seasons 1 and 2 are the seasons I already have. I bought them at another 4th Doctor sale about a year ago, I think. Although there are some great stories in there and a chance to listen to the wonderful Mary Tamm. And I also love Wrath of the Iceni.

I'll be buying all but the php box - Seriously £45 for series 1 series 2 and the lost stories box, or £80 if you include the two php stories?

My wallet loves this sale as I already have all the 4th Doctor titles. One of these days BF will have a sale on stuff I don't have and I will yield to temptation.

Agreed, BF only has sales on stuff I already have, it's like they follow my collection on the **** ****** and only put stuff up I've already got.
And Wrath of the Iceni is about the best 2 episode 4th doctor adventure there is, IMO.

It does rather well o that hge Gallifrey Base ranking of audios - it's always the highest Tom story. You'll always get some dissenters but I'd say Iceni is as close as the 4DAs get to a recognised classic by most. I'd say Iceni, Rennaisance Man, Auntie Matter and Justice Of Jalxar are the best of those first two - quite poor - series. That's a good price for the wonderful Lost Stories - anyone on the fence should snap it up. Hinchcliffe's set is good but nowhere near as good as the Lost Stories. PHP really is an expensive one! If I hadn't got it in the bundle with Series 4 I'd really be peeved at the price.

I thought The Wrath of the Iceni was a brilliant story, definitely one of the best 4DAs for me. Like others here though, the Tom Baker sale brings nothing that I haven't already got.
Maybe next time...

Eight singles a year from Tom is the same amount of material as Paul Mcgann's two box sets, but costs more, which is why I haven't purchased to date.

I’ve already got Phantoms of the Deep, Justice, and The Auntie Matter (all very good BTW if you need any recommendations) but picked up The Renaissance Man which I heard a while back on BBC4 Extra.
Energy of the Daleks may be next before the sales finishes! The blurb on Trail of the White Worm sounded intriguing, even more so as the story is set not too far from me in The Derbyshire Peaks, but I was a bit underwhelmed when I heard it on the Radio.
The new series of 4DA sounds good though!

I've got them all, so no purchases for me this weekend. I've liked all of them, some more than others, of course. And the main complaint I have is the same as most people, the 2-parters are too short. (and I'd rather they didn't even bother with a mid-disc cliffhanger if it's only going to be a contained 50-60 minute story.)

I'd echo the evaluations made in this thread. The Renaissance Man, The Wrath of the Iceni, The Auntie Matter, The Justice of Jalxar, Phantoms of the Deep, and the Lost Stories box set are the cream of the crop in this sale. The Lost Stories set is a highlight of Big Finish's catalog.

Haven't got any Tom Baker stuff yet so Im super excited about the sale, Im newer to big finish is there a reason why the Tom Baker stories are shorter than other doctors They've nver come right out and said it but reading between the lines of many clues and hints - Tom's services cost more than any of the other Doctors. The single discers cost more to us as consumers so presumably it recoups more for BF. Tom also only commits to x amount of time at a different studio per year. So if we had them in 4 parters, we'd have only a handful of releases a year that may well be more expensive than we're used to with the MR or Early Adventures. When the 4DAs give us a 4 parter - which in the main range would be £15 - it ends up costing £22. Again, it's assumed that this is because Tom costs more money to get in the door but we don't know the details for sure.

Great sale for those who want to stock up on some Fourth Doctor releases! I'm thinking of getting the series 1 bundle. It's so inexpensive, less money than getting each release individually. I'm on the fence about getting the series 2 bundle. It's also a good deal, even considering the fact that I already own The Auntie Matter, but I might just wait for a future sale. I have so much on my to-buy list as it is, and I don't have to buy everything at once! I already own the Fourth Doctor Lost Stories Box Set, as well. And, as others have said, the Hinchcliff set is still too rich for my blood right now. Maybe at some future time when I have a lot less on my to-buy list.

Think I'll give this a miss too because I've already paid a lot this month with Complete History and the Limited Edition Sixth Doctor: The Last Adventure set.

Tom costs more than Paul because Tom is the longest reigning TV Doctor, and Paul is the shortest reigning TV Doctor. Of course. ;-)
Actually, offhand the 4DAs seem similar in price and length to the individual 8DAs?
I'd get the 4DA series 1 & 2 specials if nothing else (if I didn't already have them). Those really are incredible deals.
