I just started reading Discworld for the first time. I'm up to Sourcery now. I'll probably take a break to reread the Harry Potter series before the play comes out though.

Starting in on "The Mind's Eye" (Oliver Sacks) today, most likely.

I finished the Bernice Summerfield book Return to the Fractured Planet a couple weekends ago, and just never posted about it. It was a good enough story, but I found the alternating between the actual story and the background story a bit confusing - especially since it took me a long time to read it and I had forgotten some of the background by the time I got to the next chapter.

Currently reading The Martian Chronicles Excellent book. One of my frequently re-read favorites. It's beating the audio adaptation Big Finish released by a lot already, and I'm only on the third or fourth story. The one where the Earth Men are mistaken for insane martians using telepathy is very thought provoking.

As well as Ray Bradbury's other work. One of my favorite authors.

Doom Of The Daleks by Tim Bradley, fantastic story that's left me emotionally drained.
Big Finish really need to hire him to write Fifth Doctor stories as he's wrote three brilliant adventures to date.

Just finishing up the Patchwork Devil by Cavan Scott. The Sherlock Holmes books from Titan Books are fun reads. Great change of pace if you are looking for something a little different then sci fi or fantasy. Though, these books do have elements of both.

Recently finished Murder on the Orient Express and Darth Bane: Path of Destruction. Really enjoyed both. Now I'm starting on And Then There Were None as well as Festival of Death. I have a pretty long backlog of books I hope to get through before the year is done!

Well worth a read, and there's even one section that's an interesting novelty.

Read The Showstoppers this afternoon. It is the latest in the Lethbridge-Stewart line, and it is so far a very enjoyable series.
It is a shame though that the cost to buy directly from Candy Jar is double the cost of getting them elsewhere. The short stories are good, but given they are advertised as freebies, the huge price difference for non U.K. readers makes them very expensive short stories. That quibble aside, anyone who hasn't given the series a try may find the series to be worth a look.

Still working my way through the EDA's,
Earthworld was an enjoyable read, but the story wasn't anything special and it was a tad overlong 7/10 Vanishing Point 5/10. The Slow Empire 7/10. And I've started reading The Year Of Intelligent Tigers, so far its really good, another great read by Blum and Orman.

Read Johannes Cabal The Necromancer yesterday, fun read - not sure I'll read the rest of the series,
Read The Affinty Bridge by George Mann today, set in the same Serlock Holmes world as the series by Titan Books. It is the first of the Newbury and Hobbes books, well written book and a very engaging story. This is a series I plan to read.
