I'm reading Ten Little Aliens and I'm in the middle of the "choose your own" part. Very cool. Couldn't be done well on an e-reader or as an audiobook, though. I want to read all the the POVs. That was a fantastic part of the book. I went and read for every bit. Its cleverly put together

Just finished reading the first book of the Warriors series, Into the Wild. I enjoyed it. Even if it wasn't quite what I was expecting, and far more graphic violence than I expect most YA novels to be. I really want to read the next one now though.

On to the second book in the Outlander series, Dragonfly in Amber. I still hear Frazer Hines voice when I read Jamie's parts.

Past Doctor Adventures novel Wolfsbane. It makes me sad we no longer have the wonderful Ian Marter (definitely no imbecile) and incomparable Liz Sladen with us, this would have been a lovely audio adaptation.

I just finished up two original plays in the past four months, so I'm looking forward to doing some reading. First up, the sequel to {i]Mr. Mercedes[/i], and Stephen King's second mystery, Finder's Keepers. I also hope to dig into the Marvel Omnibus edition of Matt Fraction's Hawkeye series.

Seventh Doctor and Sarah Jane PDA Bullet Time. David A McIntee really evokes the setting of Hong Kong.

Just finished up the first Lethbridge-Stewart novel. Forgotten Son was a good read.. My cat slept on my chest for half the book. She's been very unwilling to let me move since I got back after being out of town for a week.

Working through a nonfiction read: The Kiss and Its History (1901), translated from the Danish. Let me guess, it isn't a tongue and cheek account.

About to start Genocide by Paul Leonard (So far i've figured out how to adapt The Eight Doctors, Vampire Science and Bodysnatchers into animated dvd's by cutting out certain bits and altering others to have it still work) lol

I've been rereading a lot of Agatha Christie novels lately - just finished And Then There Were None in preperation for the new mini-series adapation (Australian air date unannounced). I'm not really set on the idea of a Tommy and Tuppence TV series - they worked better in short fits.
I don't think I'll ever be over Curtain. Oh Agatha, you are brilliant.

Reading two more non-fiction:
The Comic English Grammar and John Pentland Mahaffy's Euripides.
Guess which one is more entertaining.

Decided to give Terry Pratchet a try and quickly tore through The Color of Magic, The Light Fantastic, Equal Rites, and the other day, half of Mort.
Hilarious and clever commentary. (But I still think Douglass Adams is _the_ best comedic writer)

My pile of reading is getting a little smaller.. Just finished my 15th book of the year. City of Death was a fun read, I really enjoyed it and found the afterword by James Goss interesting, it was nice getting a little glimpse into how the book was pulled together. mrperson - it is hard to go wrong reading Pratchett. I gave my mother the first seven for Christmas. If you haven't ready Good Omens, do yourself a favour and get it ASAP! I'm still pissed that the person who borrowed my copy of Pratchett's Unadulterated Cat never returned it. That book had me in stitches. If I ever run into her, I'll be needing an alibi.

Decided to give Terry Pratchet a try... Pratchett is wonderful, but you haven't read his best stuff yet. His genius grows throughout the Discworld series to the point where he can make you laugh out loud then move you to tears on the same page. Hogfather, Jingo, and Night Watch are masterpieces. You've got a lot more to look forward to. Note: When you get to Soul Music, it's worth finding and watching the animated adaptation. The animated versions on the whole were not very good, but the adaptation of Soul Music stands apart by virtue of its visual and musical touches, as well as a few choice jokes from Pratchett that weren't in the novel. Plus Christopher Lee performs the voice of Death.
