See, the first episode I watched was Bargaining (the season 6 premiere), so season 6 and 7 were the only seasons that I watched on TV live as they aired, so I do have more of a soft spot for those seasons, but I can see why people don't enjoy them as much as the earlier ones, especially given how dark season 6 goes sometimes. I remember not long after I'd started watching Buffy, I was in hospital for surgery and my parents bought me season 1 on DVD to catch up on the show, so season 1 was what got me through that time, so I also have a special spot in my heart for that season too. Basically, I love all the seasons. Even with the worst episodes, I can find something to like about them.
I agree with Angel season 4 - that season was the highlight of the show for me. I loved how all the plot lines came together for that. The only thing that I dislike about that season is that weird Cordelia/Connor romance, which was just... all kinds of wrong.

I LOVED Angel, but that romance almost ruined the entire show for me.

Well the only reason they wrote that Romance in was because Charisma was pregnant. I think before then Cordelia and The Beast were meant to bring about The Big Bad at the end in another way

Awesome series, pity we ain't getting a feature length special. Get on board the comics train, we're up to Season 11 of Buffy now. Plenty of Slayer action still going on.

Loved that EW photoshoot, gave me some real nostalgia!
I need to catch up on the comics. I've only just finished On Your Own (the second volume of S9). Season 8 was... odd. I get what they were trying to do, like "Buffy without a TV budget" and for the most part I liked it, but it was the last few issues that let it down. In both the Twilight and Last Gleaming volumes, things went really weird.

It's one of those shows I was never much interested in, based on the title. But I like Josh Whedon, so I've been meaning to get around to watching it, one of these days.
