When I see something like quantum money listed, may I show you predictions made bout 2000 years ago, quantum money I can refute, I also noticed a company is now implanting microchips into people. That also could be considered prophesy if you know what the Book says. I know most folks on here don't believe in prophesy, but I laugh, cause that was prophesied too... So I figured id ask, I don't want to derail your thread. That link to the microchip thing is here: www.latimes.com/business/technology/la-fi-tn-microchip-employees-20170403-story.html

Thanks for the article about microchips tho.

I get very grumpy about science news, I've been an occasional science buff long enough now to know how many breakthroughs I can expect to be empty promises (I'm talking about you here, buckminsterfullerenes, and all your little nano-sized friends too). These days I'm mainly focused on biology which usually involves slightly less hair-pulling than dealing with science in general. That said, this is one of the most exciting things to happen in science last year in my opinion. After research has poured billions and decades into trying to treat neurodegenerative diseases with a pill to make amyloid go away and generally failing every time, this fellow's team has for the second time in five years turned in some remarkable evidence that just maybe it belongs there. Last time they demonstrated that it was microbicidal and this time they seem to have actually imaged the proceedings. www.sciencemag.org/news/2016/05/alzheimer-s-protein-may-help-brain-fight-infection

There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

Having won the Qualcomm Tricorder XPRIZE competition, Final Frontier Medical Devices have been given a grant that will permit them to continue development of their tricorder-like device known as DxtER beyond the prototype phase. It's certainly promising technology and it'll be a boon to field medics operating in environments where lugging around larger equipment or spending too much time in one space could prove fatal to both the physician and patient. Needless to say, it could save a lot of lives. The full article can be found here.

The theory of multiple waves of migration out of Africa is also looking shaky, with fairly recent evidence suggesting that at least one wave of human development and migration came out of Asia.
