Exactly. Less internet moaning and more pro-active steps. Indeed, but also, less moaning in general would be nice. Cripes, they try to do something fun and nice...

when and where can we download this? we bought the blooming thing. They can always put a download up for it soon enough like they do the subscriber extras but if you want that to happen, as it'd be an easy thing for them to do, I'd get emailing them rather than on here where it'd be missed. FWIW the scene...I can't really see it fitting anywhere in the story. It's just a bit of fun for promotion. {Spoiler} Having the multi-Doc part set up in the prequel as BF call it there, rather than it coming out of the blue in the second half of the story, kinda ruins the anticipation of waiting for backup to come. When you know Sixie and Pollard are on the way already, it's not exactly a surprise when they arrive. Nice joke about "Who are you calling a Charlie?" though. done that dude, not had a reply..... but yeah extended extra is what i thought they should do, an mp3 not the dodgy quality video, cause i am sure there will be some rights issue for videos.....just for the sad completest in us yep it fun promo......and done its job keeps us talking (moaning) about it. i worked out how i can rip a copy from Facebook......but don't really like doing that.....i just wish they would give you access to all special promo stuff from your account. but also agree that its right not to be in the release i was hoping that someone was going to tell me its in the extras as not had chance to listen.......

This is an excellent story that's weird and creepy in all the right ways (perfect lights-out listening). At the time, I was really "over" Charley as a character (nothing against India Fisher) at all, but partnering her with the Sixth Doctor was such a bold move that was perfect for audio (fun to imagine her on the 1980s TARDIS set). It was a really interesting dynamic to explore and it ended up making me a fan of hers again. Plus there's the introduction of DI Menzies - who was cynical, confident, sarcastic, driven, and (for me) instantly likeable. I was thrilled that she was able to return for Legacy of Time.

I agree. I believe the 6th Doctor strand of stories saved Charley as a character.

I don't actually agree with that. I didn't love Charley as a character in general, and I hated the way the story arc with the Sixth Doctor ended.
That said, I did enjoy the episode on offer from this week's Randomoid Selectrotron.

That said, I did enjoy the episode on offer from this week's Randomoid Selectrotron. It did end up getting pretty convoluted, didn't it? But it started out pretty well. I remember that it was extended beyond the original intention, which probably didn't serve it too well in the long run, but I did like the stories with Menzies and the surreal structure of Brotherhood of the Daleks in particular.

In 20 years of BF they've only made me angry twice. Once with bait-and-switch over that series of Gallifrey and then with the end of the second Charley box set.

What was the bait and switch you mention? Series 4; when they promoted it as taking place on the real Gallifrey with the guest cast coming back to play their usual characters but it all took place in alternate universes.

I was very disappointed at the time when it came out, but when I re-listened to it a couple of years later with no false expectations I found it very enjoyable.

It was never the actual contents that I had the issue with, just the way they had gone about releasing it.
