Also consider the hashtag, "she's back." To which Martha Jones said in The Sound of Drums "I will be back" before embarking on a quest to trek the world by herself....which if you consider this trend of Companion boxsets (boy we're really getting all of them now) and the fact that Freema mentioned she may be doing one soon, could mean that.

Freema said at a convention a couple of months ago that there could be some news about her and Big Finish coming soon.

Based on what we saw on TV of Martha - her UNIT career, marriage to Mickey, ertc. - I would say she has more obvious spin-off potential than either Rose or Donna.

I'm guessing either Sally Sparrow or Martha Jones. Sally because, well, a sparrow is a bird, and Martha because Jack says she has a "voice of a nightingale", and a singing bird seems highly suggestive of that Helpful ornithological note: sparrows can't sing. 'Cheep. Cheep. Cheep.' doesn't count! So that one's ruled out. And yes the image is a Nightingale.
Good idea about Martha, I'd completely forgotten that line and tbh I don't remember even now you've reminded everyone... Where/when please because now I'll be wondering until I do remember

Jack is an old smoothie-talker sometimes
EDIT: I once heard that Nightingales can be loud enough to be considered noise pollution, if they were machines! Maybe it's not such a compliment after all... Tegan the Nightingale?? ('Now just a minute you number whoever-you-are...' Ooops, sorry! )

Yeah, I’m pretty certain this is a Torchwood release, since Scott tweeted last night that he’d be very happy in 24 hours, and given how heavily involved he is with Torchwood, it’s likely it’s for that range. Exciting!

Martha Jones in a Torchwood release, I’d imagine. The bird is a Nightingale and the colouring of the image is the same as one of the Torchwood logos. Perhaps they've got a license to tell stories picking up after Miracle Day? Today is the 8th anniversary of its final episode airing. It'd be nice to get even a one-off box set addressing that cliffhanger... Given their most recent tweet, I think you’re onto something.

Well, I'm not 100% certain, but I am 95% certain that they said something to the effect of "The rights to Miracle Day are more complicated because it was a co-production with Starz" back in the earlier days of Torchwood at BF, but since that was 3-4 years ago now I might be misremembering. I think it's like the rights with Duggan from City of Death - they have all the relevant rights to the material around the article in question, but the exact copyrights around the individual article in question aren't known, so it's much harder to work out who owns the property. (EDIT: I hope that makes sense. Reading it back I'm almost confusing myself )

Just to add more fuel to rampant unverified speculation but...
According to the TARDIS wiki the date the Miracle began was 19/20 March...the announcement is oddly specific by being on 19:20...

19:20 is also 2019 swapped around. I doubt that has any significance whatsoever, but we've got very little to work from at this point so anything might be something

Actually guys, here's a serious thought: Scott Handcock was saying he had to direct four hours worth of drama in a single day due to actor availability. With the (possible) tease of Rex's return, I can imagine it'd be pretty difficult to schedule Mekhi Phifer, so if they were going to do a pick-up from the end of Miracle Day then that could explain why they had to record so much in so little time. I can easily imagine they'd have brought back Martha for that post-Miracle series (like Russell T Davies tried to for Children of Earth and Miracle Day if memory serves), and she'd be a far better character to tease for a return than Rex as, frankly, Miracle Day doesn't have a very good reputation (which I don't agree with for what it's worth), so they've got two different tacks with which to try and draw people in to this hypothetical release. All pure speculation of course, but it fits what we know quite well
