I guess this is why John Barrowman and Eve Myles were absent from the latest bunch of regular Torchwood releases. I knew they'd do this eventually ever since they had Forgotten Lives take place after Miracle Day. These three releases definitely seem worth getting excited over. A proper series 5 of Torchwood.

This sounds very cool. Torchwood has been consistently excellent so I will definitely be preordering this sooner rather than later. I have spent a bit too much money this weekend though so it may have to wait till I get paid again (although in 2 weeks who knows what other announcements Big Finish will make that I will also want to buy. Maybe it is best to buy now). I will also definitely be getting the bundle as it's a 15.00 savings. I am a little concerned that individually this is another box set that is 25.00 (20.00 each if you get the bundle). I just hope more boxes won't start being priced higher. But what can you do? It's the Brexit economy I suppose. Also I have avoided Miracle Day as I've heard nothing but bad things about it. I hope this can be enjoyed without having to watch that. I will take my chances. Big Finish Torchwood is worth it. And I love how involved RTD is in this. Edit: Oh what the hell I preordered the bundle! Why wait?

Oh!! I've just spent a few quid with Big Finish for one reason and another ... and now this! YAAGH!
I'm enjoying the way we no longer have to wait ages for new releases following the initial announcement. Just three months and these little babies will be with us. Will this new series bring to an end the single disc releases, I wonder?
I'm going to have to get this. Genuinely, I'm going to be skint.

EPISODE 1: Changes Everything ... Very clever. Wonderful news - right back in the Vortex after the TW licencing news broke, there was a mention of BF wanting to do Series 5. Glad we're getting it.

Hoorah! I'll be interested to see if maybe RTD decides to write an episode (although it's probably unlikely).
Was kinda hoping Mekhi Phifer would sign up someday before they did this. I'd really like a proper explanation of what happened to him.

I'm so excited for this. I pre-ordered this about a second after I saw the news. It sounds wonderful, and I'm also really happy for RTD's involvement.

Fantastic news but after spending a couple of hundred dollars yesterday with BF, the pre-order will have to wait a couple of weeks.

This is pretty huge news for Torchwood fans, really looking forward to it.
I, too, would love to see Rex back in some capacity at some point, but I suspect, as well as the difficulty of being US based, Mekhi Phifer is probably both too busy and too expensive for Big Finish at this point. Though as one of the people who actually liked Miracle Day I'd love to be proven wrong.
Regardless, I'm all in for this one.

Big Finish is all about taking my money this weekend. x.x
I've been hoping for them to do a proper series five on audio ever since the announcement that the license had been acquired. To have RTD involved makes it even more exciting, and also mind blowing!

Going to preorder probably after I return from Paris. I've spent enough on BF for now.

With the size of the cast involved, the price isn't a surprise and the bundle works out at 20 pound a set. Just to be clear I wasn't complaining that this set in particular was 25.00. But it's a possibility that Big Finish are moving to. more 25.00 box sets. The recent Dark Shadows box set is also 25.00. It could just be a coincidence or Big Finish may be increasing the price of their 4 episode box sets. But I guess that remains to be seen. And I also mentioned that there is significant savings if you get the bundle which is why if you Can afford to put down for all 3 sets at once it makes sense to go for the bundle.

Interesting that Russell T Davies has involvement in this. Makes me hopeful we could have a Russell T Davies Presents box set with either the Ninth or Tenth Doctor one day.
