Wait, so Parallax is back? The proper one? The not "it's all a giant yellow space bug" one? This has made my day. Graphic novels I can recommend based on this: Convergence: Zero Hour Book Two Includes Convergence: Green Lantern/Parallax #1- 2 (features 90's era Kyle Rayner and Parallax-possessed Hal Jordan) Convergence (Hallax has an important role near to the end) Green Lantern Volume 8: Reflections (the second trade collecting the Renegade period, after Volume 7: Renegade and the final trade before Rebirth) Hallax also appears in the last two issues of the Telos mini-series, so might be worth getting issues #5 and #6 on a digital platform or the Telos trade from the library. Feel free to do the same for Green Lantern/Parallax. Comixology is a good place if you go digital. The basic premise of Convergence is that Brainiac has been stealing cities from throughout the history of DC comics, storing them on the sentient planet Telos. He vanished (stopped and apprehended trying capture New York City during Futures End, which concluded shortly before Convergence started), so Telos sets the inhabitants of the cities against each other, with their survival at stake. While the core issues follow the Earth-2 characters, who lost their Earth to Darkseid and Apokolips, the tie-in issues show the conflicts between the cities, revisiting past periods and iterations of characters. For example the Convergence: Superman issues follow the pre-Flashpoint Superman set against several Flashpoint character.

ok today friday june 23rd was marvel's big announcement day about legacy and what was this big announcement? covers, thats it. they rolled out covers a few at a time throughout the day. first somebody tell me what this means? “A new initiative that will take things back to our iconic history, with a firm eye on the future, Marvel Legacy will present stories that remind everyone — newcomers and longtime fans alike — why Marvel stands as the premier name in fiction,” Marvel editor-in-chief Axel Alonso said in an earlier press release. “Our titles will unearth gems from Marvel’s rich history, remind readers of connections between characters, and usher in the return of some major characters who’ve been missed. Above all else, we want to inject our comics with a massive dose of fun!” second falcon has an ugly new costume www.cbr.com/marvel-legacy-sam-wilson-returns-as-falcon/here are the 52 covers marvel has leaked yes i said 52 i see a lot of bad art btw and dc used this type of gimmick cover for the button imgur.com/a/UGq8w so far this is just another relaunch after an event that went over schedule and here is a preview of the 4.99 hawkeye generations one shot which doesnt sound like time travel at all www.cbr.com/exclusive-preview-hawkeye-generations/

ok so my local comic shop gave me the marvel previews book for post secret empire. except its not exactly post secret empire since they added 2 issues. remember this is the thing going to change not marvel comic but the whole
industry forever. so first off you have a huge spidey event going on with the venomverse. so if you are a spidey fan who thought you would have a breather from events after secret empire sorry.
so marvel legacy is a one shot $5.99 64 pages by jason aaron and esad ribic. i was thinking about skipping this but esad ribic on art might sway me. and of course it will have 7 variant covers.
so the the legacy solicitation says its starts at the dawn of the human race. yadda yadda yadda "all leading up to yo the dramatic return uou've waited for and one you've dreaded. this will usher in a new dawn - one whose
rays will touch every corner of the marvel universe in the days to come." so make of that what you can.
generations has covers that weren't released yet so 1 cover and 2 variants per title and all the covers look good to me. but im not variant cover collector so not buying them.
as for the line up of regular titles its basically the same as before secret empire started. they added a runaways book by a creative team i dont know . they cancelled some really low selling books like hellcat, scarlet
witch, drax, gamora maybe some other books that we would be surprise were still out there. marvel is really banking on TV/netflix to sell some books. all the netflix defenders have their own books. and the inhumans have
2 titles and now a mini series. the xmen have a ton of books as usual none of them have the secret empire aftermath tag. in fact there are only a few books with that tag : secret empire omega, secret warriors 6, us
avengers 10, and champions 12, avengers 11, and deadpool 36. so hopefully marvel with finish with that event all together.
so to me legacy still looks like another soft reboot that was thrown together when marvel was faced with low sale and a disgruntled fan base. after its all over we get a bit of reshuffling but that is it.
i'll get the cap generations book because same and steve are my favs. probably wont get legacy.

marvel had an emergency meeting with retailers over legacy. marvel said something to the effect that legacy is setting up the next thing. san diego comic con is just around the corner hopefully we we get more news. i always scratch my head why
dont they save these announcements for the big cons that seem to be every week end.

I'm looking forward to it,I don't think Marvel really have done much wrong.
I get what Marvel was trying to do with HYDRA Cap - Steve always get's back up and it can be seen as hard to shake things up with him and they wanted to add to his mantle, but....yeah.

ok rumor is there is another event after legacy that they think will please old fans and legacy was thrown together as a stop gap.
did anyone read hulk generations? so ive been confused about the hulk ever since hawkeye killed bruce banner. they were talking like everytime he hulked out it was akin to godzilla the original black and white godzilla tokyo in flames tens of thousands dead godzilla. and that carries on in generations bruce talks about the hulk like destroys and kills wherever he appears. i dont know what comics show that. its a good comic if you like totally awesome hulk. and there is time travel even though they said it wasnt.

I thought Legacy was meant to be the last event for a while. The constant event cycle has been a huge criticism of Marvel in recent years. If there have to be crossovers, I'd rather they were between specific characters or teams, not the whole Marvel Universe.

yeah i am done with events i wouldnt be reading secret empire except cap and sam are 2 favorites. secret empire feels like a what if story more than anything. i just dread we are going to get a clone saga type ending. captain hydra was the real cap and the cap we know was just a persona.
