Listening to this again, it's amazing how easily this could have been Geoffrey Beevers' Master on the loose during his long exile on Earth. The body hopping, the wearing out of bodies, the hypnotic mind-manipulation, the bits of himself scattered throughout multiple hosts ala the recent And You Will Obey Me... You know, I'm not sure they ever actually say who or what "The Cuckoo" actually is. Hmm...
That aside, this is a great story! It must be said, Kai Owen is a magnificent narrator, and does everyone's voices great. The sound design is amazing, and the story itself is wonderfully written and plotted. A nice epilogue to Miracle Day.
