Torchwood: Mr InvincibleGet it on Audible HERE,or, as part of Torchwood Tales: Torchwood Audio Originals HERERoss Chapman is one of life's losers. So when he survives a point-blank shooting, dons a superhero costume, and becomes a crime-busting vigilante, something strange is clearly going on. And Ross's transformation isn't the only odd thing happening in Cardiff. Time is distorting - around the city, some people are aging, dying, and decomposing in a matter of minutes, while others are reverting to childhood.
Sgt Andy Davidson knows he's out of his depth - so when Jack Harkness sweeps into the police station, he's glad of the help that only Torchwood can provide. But for Jack, the stakes are higher than ever. He's seen a vision of Gwen, dead, murdered by an unknown gunman. And if he can't solve the mystery of Mr Invincible, he can't save her.

And that, that was the end of the Torchwood audios, until the release of The Conspiracy several years later. Oh, sure, there was The Exodus Code a few months after, but what promised to be a new start petered out, a single release. This was almost a Doctor Who story in structure, strange phenomena, someone who thinks they're a superhero, a mysterious awkward child. Felt very much like early Torchwood, rather than the darker more serious drama the show became. Still good, as always.

So outside of BF our there two different Torchwood audio sets? There were the full-cast dramas, and then there were the "audio originals" which were dramatic readings (a short audio book for which no book existed). The full-casts include Lost Souls, which was commissioned for Cern's LHC activation day, three plays commissioned for radio broadcast (similar to how the Eighth Doctor Adventures were originally made for BBC7) later released in a set with Lost Souls as Torchwood: The Radio Adventures, and another three plays broadcast alongside Miracle Day branded as Torchwood: The Lost Files. Doctor Who Audio Originals also exist, and have been semi-ongoing since Series 4 (they are currently in the middle of a short serial featuring the Twelfth Doctor and some new companions, set between S9 and S10).
