I was just wondering if series 13 is the last or were more recorded?

Everything I've heard says no.
To be honest I was surprised when the Producer switch was announced and even more surprised that 13 apparently ended on a cliff-hanger.

Though I suppose Short Trip Revival does the job bitter sweetly.

Might there be anything else recorded for the 4DAs and as yet unannounced? *vain hope*

Both series ended with our heroes entering a parallel universe, full of familiar faces that were strangers.

I had planned to re-listen to the last three boxsets, but currently half way through series 12 I have decided to stop come the end of that series as the story had come full circle and seems a more fitting end. In hindsight series 13 was a misstep and perhaps a wasted opportunity, but then I am not a great fan of alternative world stories. We never did get that Christmas special.🙁

Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of alternate/parallel universe storylines, which is part of the reason why I haven't already finished S13. It's such a shame that it apparently ends on a cliffhanger.

Or somethings just end unresolved. Like that fantastic end to Angel when they lose the battle and L.A. ends up in Hell. I suppose a CC style ending could work but right now I'm still having problems wrapping my head around the fact Trevor Baxter is gone and with him Professor George Litefoot.

There's no reason ... when the time is right ... why there couldn't be a Paternoster story with Henry Gordon Jago either passing on the torch or a special Short Trip reminiscing about his friend and colleague. Of course now is not that time but it would give a sense of closure (unlike Sarah Jane).
Cheers

In case anybody hasn't listened to it, in the most recent podcast Nick said that they are not sitting on any unreleased J&L stories.

Indeed, I was just think this morning that if indeed we've heard the last of Professor George Litefoot, I most certainly hope that we haven't heard the last of Henry Gordon Jago.

It's hard to wrap my head around the emotional gravity of it, but perhaps one final Companion Chronicle might make a bittersweet coda.
Thing is, I don't even know if I'd want to hear it from just Chris Benjamin--something seems wrong about having him do it alone, without Trevor Baxter. Maybe one starring Lisa Bowerman or Conrad Asquith?

If I were giving a coda to the series, I'd do it with Jago, Ellie, and Quick in the Red Tavern, telling stories about adventures with Litefoot in his memory. The Doctor would show up and tell the final story. I'm not sure if it would be more resonant to have it be Six or Four or to have it be an incarnation they've never had an opportunity to interact with.

We never did get that Christmas special.🙁 Although series 12 would have been the perfect ending I was enjoying this run of stories so much that I decided to continue with series 13 and I was so glad that I did. I enjoyed it so much more the second tim around. Perhaps because I now know its significance. The extras disc can feeling of closure about it because David Richardson was stepping down, but you will need to have the tissues at the ready for when you get to last few minutes of thode extras....at least Trevor did get the last word in!
