Iron Maiden : Book of Souls. Last time I listened to this, I actually had a massive ear infection and I thought it was great. Now, my ears are completely clear and its absolutely amazing. One of the best Maiden albums I've heard

Decided to (very late in the day) give someone called Bob Dylan a listen! Have heard Highway 61 Revisited and Bringing it all Back Home. Not sure what I think so far!

Black Sabbath: Vol 4, Master of Reality, and Paranoid.
The wife and I will be catching a show on their final tour. They may not be what they used to be, but last chances and all that...
Also, Slash: Live at the Roxy

Perhaps later, my Doors Live playlist, assembled from various live concert CDs that came out over the last several years. My very favorite versions of the songs out of them all....and that gets to what's so great about the Doors live: every performance is different, and when they're on, my God are they ON.
(I also generally prefer the later shows because, contrary to rumor, his voice was stronger than ever. A clear bluesy rock sound...very different from the first studio album. More like Morrison Hotel, but more heartfelt and clearer. Except the fourth NY felt forum show because it was the fourth show in two days ...and that would destroy anyone's voice).
Maggie M'Gill - NY Felt Forum, Jan. 18, 1970, second show. Been Down So Long - Detroit, May 8, 1970, Cobo Arena Roadhouse Blues - Live in Pittsburg, May 2, 1970 (Note: tied with the one from "In Concert" album) Back Door Man - Detroit, May 8, 1970, Cobo Arena Five To One - Detroit, May 8, 1970, Cobo Arena Who Do You Love - Absolutely Live album track Build Me A Woman - NY Felt Forum, Jan. 17, 1970, second show Soul Kitchen - NY Felt Forum, Jan. 18, 1970, second show Peace Frog - NY Felt Forum, Jan 17. 1970, first show Blue Sunday - NY Felt Forum, Jan 17. 1970, first show When the Music's Over - Absolutely Live track The Crystal Ship - Hollywood, Jul. 21, 1969 Rock Me - NY Felt Forum, Jan. 18, 1970, second show Money - NY Felt Forum, Jan. 18, 1970, first show Ship of Fools - NY Felt Forum, Jan. 18, 1970, second show Who Do You Love - NY Felt Forum, Jan. 18, 1970, first show Gloria - "In Concert" live album Gloria/End of Show - NY Felt Forum, Jan. 18, 1970, second show

For a fan of his later work, this is ESSENTIAL www.amazon.co.uk/David-Bowie-Box/dp/B000W1V46GAll his albums from Outside to Reality, all in 2 disc editions featuring loads of previously unreleased material and even more thats only seen release in Japan or on rather rare EPs. It's a fantastic set.
