For a fan of his later work, this is ESSENTIAL www.amazon.co.uk/David-Bowie-Box/dp/B000W1V46GAll his albums from Outside to Reality, all in 2 disc editions featuring loads of previously unreleased material and even more thats only seen release in Japan or on rather rare EPs. It's a fantastic set. Arrrggggh David's trying to tempt me to buy stuff yet again....must res...sist the tem...ptation. Go on, buy it! I remember when 1.Outside was released after a fair few Bowie albums that made me think he'd lost interest in music a bit. 1.Outside is right up there with his greatest stuff - and he was clearly deeply involved in all facets of its creation. The visuals, the strange and disturbing 'concept', the characters, the production (working with Brian Eno again) are all on a level I'm not sure anyone other than Bowie could attempt and carry off. I can't enthuse about it enough. Released in 1995, his original plan, so he said, was to release 5 linked albums (the second being 'Contamination') culminating in one last grand finale in 2000. I was really disappointed when none of this materialised, but 'Earthling' was a brilliant album nonetheless. The follow-ups weren't quite on the same level, in my opinion, but pretty brilliant nonetheless. Oh yes - what I came here to say was that 'Heathen' is the last album I listened to

Next up on the music front, I'm going to relive my late teens/early twenties with:
The Sisters of Mercy - Floodland, Vision Thing The Damned - Phantasmogoria The Mission - Naked & Savage ( a compilation I made in the 80's)
That should take me 'til the end of work
Cheers
