Seeing as we often talk about tv, movies, games and books, why not tackle the theatre?
Been a while since my last trip. 2014, in fact, when I was invited to Flowers in the Field, a period drama at the White Bear in Kennington. Also, waiting for a Mamet package to arrive to read up on those.

Saw Beauty and the Beast in Savannah in February, a favorite of mine. More recently, there was the wonderful Mickey and the Magician at Disneyland Paris in June, which was good enough to be stage play quality.

On Wednesday I headed down to London to see Andrew Scott in 'Hamlet'. It was a great production that I rather enjoyed, but thanks to my hearing difficulties of late, there were fair chunks of time where I couldn't really hear anything (probably not helped by the fact that I was sat up in the royal circle)... If I can get a cheap ticket, I'd happily go and see it again!
Next Monday I'll be in London again to see a fringe-show in Camden & something else afterwards (the first show I'm seeing runs for "only" an hour from 4.30, so might as well go and see something else afterwards make the train fare down worth it)...

I live about 2 hours from Broadway so I try to go when I can (not as often as I like because tickets are expensive) But I last saw Little Foxes with Cynthia Nixon & Laura Linney for my birthday in June. I try to see a play for my birthday which always falls around Tony weekend. Okay this has only been a tradition for the past 2 years (the year before I saw I saw Crucible with Ben Whishaw and Saoirse Ronan) but I like this tradition & I think I will try to stick with it. I also have a ticket to see Mark Rylance in Farinelli and the King in December. But basically I love theater. I'd go every week if only I could afford it.

I don't go to the theatre often I think the last time (years ago) was a local group performing the Discworld story Men-at-Arms (oddly with completely different casting to their performance of Guards, Guards)

We're an hour out of London by train, so that helps...

The last play I saw was the world premier of Broken Snow. Worth seeing, if you have the opportunity

In an hour or so I'm going to be heading down to London to see 'Black Beauty In Irons' at the Camden Fringe and 'Bodies' at the Jerwood theatre afterwards.

Between October and March there's going to be a production of 'The Exorcist' in London... Not sure how to react to that, to be honest.

The last one....
Ripcord @ Huntington theatre. Same author as "Good people". Both very good. Ripcord was particularly hilarious.

Today I bought the script-book of 'Harry Potter & The Cursed Child' (which I'm going to be seeing next June) and will be starting to read it tomorrow.

The one I'm currently in. Joey and Mary's Big Ass Italian Comedy Wedding. It is a interactive and mostly improvised piece. Audiences love it.

I seldom get to watch plays in the theatre, and more often watch recordings or simulcasts.
The last theatre performance I watched was the Metropolitan Opera's performance of Elektra by Strauss, with Birgit Nilsson in the title role. This may be the loudest and most exhausting opera ever written (Yes, I've seen the complete Ring Cycle by Wagner.)
Prior to that I saw all three parts of Shakespeare's Henry VI over three consecutive days.
The last play that I read was Euripides' Iphigeneia at Aulis, as translated by Merwin and Dimock, which I read last weekend, but I'm about to finish Orestes (translated by Arthur Way).

Prom Kween. It just finished a run in the Edinburgh Fringe. Lot of fun, topical too.
