You see, I told you it was a good idea to wrap it up and give it as a present from me to me on Christmas day!

Listened to the Big Finish podcast tease for this. It's going to be a heavy release. It's definitely aiming high. Tense from beginning to end. I'm very, very nervous. I think Poor Mrs. Clarke has had it.

Based on that 15 minute teaser, the entire story seems to be working in synchronicity. The stage is set for one hell of a story. {Spoiler} And there seems to be a dynamic forming. You have this couple dealing with a loss, one that could have been avoided, a life that could have been saved, and I fear a parallel is in store. Two loved ones confrontational over a loss of another...a sister...it's got death written all over it.
Poor, poor, Connie...

Poor, poor, Connie... They’ll probably trick us have poor Phillipa meet her maker. I can almost imagine Connie surviving and going on to become that lonely old spinster who the children suspect might be a witch, she has that garden she always wanted but it’s gnarled and neglected as her will and hope was broken long ago, marred by the death of a young friend.

Thanks for that. I feel so much better now... Imagine the seasons greetings tag for that one, like they did with The One Doctor. Colin Baker narration monologue over aged Constance Clarke's uncontrollable weeping in her vacuous and empty apartment. Colin Baker: Merry Freakin' Christmas from your pals at Big Finish! Revel in this dark and melancholic time filled with regretful remembrances!

It would be that for me even if they stopped the trilogy now after just the first two stories! Two classics. I was already excited about this release, being the classic ghost story fan that I am - but now... "It's better than chimes of midnight." Oh Crumbs. (I'm not going anywhere near the podcast tease and I think this will be my last visit to this thread pre-listen... full anti-spoiler counter-measures are indicated!)

Pretty much the moment this gets released make this thread a no-go zone until you've heard the story. I'll set up the reaction poll anyway for a non-spoiler look at how people like or don't like it.

Just in case something leaks - I don't underestimate the collective intelligence-gathering capabilities of DU !
