You're right, it is. Labour is not my party but I still don't see how the party that had EdM as its leader just four years ago has come to this. I've disagreed with Labour about many things for my whole adult life, but only twice before (in 1983 - defence during the Cold War, and 2010 -those illiberal ID cards) have I felt genuinely alarmed at the idea of them taking power. This time is much much worse.
BJ is not, to put it mildly, my first choice for Tory PM and Brexit wasn't my choice either. But I'm sure as hell going to vote Conservative when faced with this Labour alternative.
Wow. A Tory voter! Tbh I find it incredulous that anyone can vote Tory. And I cannot comprehend how anyone could contemplate voting Labour whilst they tolerate Corbyn as party leader. I remembered him from years back when he was always present and correct at whatever fringe protest was available, but his support for IRA bombings, especially that which aimed to kill the PM at the Brighton Tory conference really cannot be explained away: blogs.spectator.co.uk/2018/10/why-we-shouldnt-forget-jeremy-corbyns-contemptible-past/

Yes it seems Day 2 of the campaign has swung dramatically the other direction, with Labour now hit with a wave of bad headlines. Arguably the most damning headline of today is this one- You're right, it is. Are the Lib Dems not worth a second thought? I am not normally a fan of them and am a dyed in the wool Tory and Tory party member, but I think the Lib Dems holding the balance of power in a hung Parliament is the best possible outcome as the 2 main parties have both been hijacked by extremists. I would much rather have either BJ or JC kept on the leash by the Liberals than either of them leading a majority government
Heck, I think I'm even starting to fancy Jo Swinson!

However, on the biggest issue facing our country today, i.e. brexit, he is right - soft brexit or remain are the best options available.
Best analogy I can come up with is Churchill - spent most of his career being wrong (return to the gold standard in 1925, opposing Indian self-rule, supporting Edward VIII, not to mention allegations of racism, etc.) yet managed to be right on the one big issue of the day - the rise of Hitler

Actually that at least seems rooted in reality and owe more to spin than actually making things up, as opposed to some of the wilder claims made by the opposition:

Seems I'm the only one who's noticed this:
or this:
Understandable I guess that these minor stories should have gone under the radar when there's the thrill of an empty chair being told off! Yes it seems Day 2 of the campaign has swung dramatically the other direction, with Labour now hit with a wave of bad headlines. Arguably the most damning headline of today is this one- Labour needs to get its act together on antisemitism sharpish. But the editor of the JC is a hard right brexiteer Tory and this is still a smear piece.

Almost getting the number of police back up to the level after Tory cuts? The lies about new hospitals? Yeah, rooted in reality!

Farage standing down in all Tory seats and standing only in Labour ones.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but I really hope the Tories lose.

Seriously though, what a weird election. I am normally a diehards Tory yet I am hoping they lose because of brexit and, going by your comment, you are not a Tory supporter yet on this occasion you want them to win.
I tend to agree with the Michael Heseltine line of reasoning - any harm done by a Labour government will be short term and can be undone by a future government, whereas the harm caused by brexit will be long term and it will be a long time before it is undone (by rejoining the EU) so on balance Corbyn is the lesser of 2 evils.
Yet I agree with you Corbyn is terrible by almost every standard, that's why I'm urging people to vote Liberal in the hope they would keep him on a tight leash in a hung Parliament

True yeah, but if it was someone other than Corbyn i would be on it This isn't the US though, Corbyn won't be a President and won't always be leader, so vote Labour. Personally I'd prefer Starmer, but apparently these days he doesn't have character, as that phrase has morphed and degenerated into worthlessness thanks to gurning liars like Bojo & Farage.
