It's October, so naturally supermarkets have the candy on sale and novelty stores have the spooky decorations out (probably have since mid September at least). It's time for tricks and treats, so what Big Finish do you treat yourself to at this time of year? What creepy CDs do you take out for a spin? What dreaded downloads do you deafen yourself with? Here's something to get you started:
Doctor Who: Night Thoughts Ghost in the Machine Home Truths
Dark Shadows: The House by the Sea Beyond the Grave
Torchwood: Made You Look

Doom Coalition: The Red Lady is a great spooky tale, perfect to chill the spine on a Halloween listen!

Any Confessions of Dorian Gray release. Can the Christmas Special count? Desperately Seeking Santa is... Kinda messed up.

I have already listened to House by The Sea and Beyond The Grave and I'll be doing quite a bit of Dark Shadows this month. I'd like to do one creepy story for each classic Doctor that's recorded with Big Finish. Right now I'm thinking I'll listen to Labyrinth of Buda Castle, The Demons of Red Lodge, Master, and The Chimes of Midnight. I haven't decided on a Sixth Doctor story for Halloween yet but I'm thinking more and more that The Carrionite Curse might do the trick nicely.

Terror Firma's pretty intense, Night Thoughts manages to be really unsettling every time, Project: Twilight manages to fill that gore quota (without even trying) and The Reaping still feels like it could've been done at the time as a homage to slasher films.

Iterations of I - if God is a number, maybe the Devil is too.... Creepy as hell! We know block transfer computation can literally alter the universe on a physical level, create a whole populated city. That's all numbers. Branching off that, Psychodrome and Children of Seth.

A recent addition to the spooky list, a modern classic: World Apart
{Spoiler}It starts so innocently on a deserted world and ends in terror - and still on a deserted world... The Lost Stories: Point of Entry. There are two comedy interludes which to me seem out of place, but most of the story is very creepy indeed. And just before you put the lights out, Bedtime Story from the 100 anthology. Pleasant dreams...
