I'm assuming this is not available using the app? It might be its Free but its the same format as a pay for Short Trip Range Story not a Sub Bonus one.
Regards

It hasn't shown up on the app the way the other Short Trips do, which is why I think that. Neither do the subscriber Short Trips.

FWIW I’ve had no trouble playing it with my Big Finish app.

Story works fine in the app on my iPhone.
Great story, and nicely produced by Big Finish. Thanks to all responsible.

If anyone's still having trouble with it on the App, BF have Suggested a Reboot or Reinstall of the App should fix it.

I really liked this one! I’m becoming increasingly fond of the Short Trips range, to the point where I’m often anticipating them more eagerly than I do the main range. It uses a strong concept to explore some deeply moving themes. I enjoyed the sounds designs, particularly the sounds of the gulls. I liked that the Doctor said “churlish”. That’s a good Third Doctor word.
I also think Nick does a really good job as a reader. He’s said elsewhere that he’s not a mimic, but he does a really wonderful job conveying the essence of characters we all know and love.
It reminded me of A True Gentleman, one of my very favorite Short Trips. Great story. Congratulations, Selim!

Many thanks! I have to agree with you about the Short Trips in general. There are some very strong stories and they're among my favourite offerings from Big Finish.

Landbound A delightful short trip, following 'my' Third Doctor through three snapshots in his life on Earth: after The Silurians, The Three Doctors and The Green Death, as he changes two other lives and himself changes in far more than just the degree of bouffant... I loved the inclusion of the details that surround this very special incarnation - 'Bessie', the varying velveteen jackets, the Aikido, the appreciation of an "acceptable" glass of Burgundy ( he was lucky, in a seaside pub in 70s England!) But it's the character writing of 'my' Doctor in his different moods and of Captain Ronald that really makes this story, starting immediately after the events on Wenley Moor. From that early Third Doctor, sometimes ill-tempered and dismissive in the exile he resents so deeply and the difficulties that working with UNIT brings, to the mellowed Third Doctor rejoicing in his restored freedom but staying to help his adopted UNIT 'family' by choice, to the older Third Doctor, feeling rather lost after Jo went to follow her own path, this story catches each stage perfectly. We see the Doctor changing, through three encounters with the Captain who has lost his Ship - and with another alien traveller exiled on a strange world far from home. The fact that one is a human who runs a seaside pub and the other is an immense, translucent being who eats ships in ignorance is of course irrelevant to the Doctor - all intelligent life is equal and if your motives are good, he will help you. He may appear an elegant, imposing figure, 'aristocratic' even, but he is (as has been said before) 'a true gentleman' and he shows it once again in this heart-warming tale which has gone straight to the top of my list of the single-release Third Doctor short trips. (Congratulations Selim, and thanks very much for this great story.)

I listened to it again for the listening party. I don't think I have listened to this since it came out and I had forgotten how much I enjoyed it. Such a great story.

Character A arrives and talks with Character B, then leaves. It's the least-interesting of all possible premises--and therefore the best possible premise to use to judge a writer's skill. If you can craft an entire story out of two people talking, with a coherent arc and compelling characters and enervating dialog... you can do anything.
Which is precisely why I so adore stories like these (the recent 9th Doctor ST leaps to mind). At their best, they represent Doctor Who at its best.
i really can't praise Landbound enough. This is precisely the kind of story I always wanted to see from the TV series: no padding, no action sequences, no goofy-looking foam-and-rubber monster. Just a person, in a spot of trouble, paired with a meddlesome time-traveler. It's a perfect story and embodies everything I love best about the 3rd Doctor: his wit, charm, ego, abrasiveness, and unerring tendency to fix things immediately.
