I'm not sure anything will top last set's A Kill to a View for me - one of the greatest stories BF have done, in my view - but I'm very excited to find out. A day off from work for me tomorrow - how wonderful to have something new to listen to

I've just finished part 3 ('Escape Room') and am enjoying it so far, though I'm going to have to wait until I get home from work to finish it off...

I really liked the whole box set overall, but... {Episode 12 Spoiler}It's mentioned in the interviews that the only reason that Ng was in the series at all was because Eve Myles was busy, and I can't help but feel that Gwen only left because Eve will probably be too busy to do a series 6. I get that it needed to be addressed somehow and in the circumstances I don't think it would have been able to have been done better, but to me it felt a bit rushed and out of nowhere.
I hope that even if Eve is too busy for a full series 6 that they have her in an episode because I don't want this to be the last we see of modern day Gwen.

Who else was going No! No! No! They Can't, They Can't Just Kill Gwen Off Just Like That!!! In Tagged
that's not to say I don't think Gwen as a character shouldn't die, and if she had I'd of been fine with that out come, but I'm happy that her story has ended for the time being with her still alive and happy with Rhys & Anwen

I hope that even if Eve is too busy for a full series 6 that they have her in an episode because I don't want this to be the last we see of modern day Gwen. Well, she is in Believe and We Always Get Out Alive, so she can come in for a day here or there, even if she can't spare the time for a full 12-episode series. Except ... I forgot Blind Terror. She's the main character in that 3-hour drama. Would that require her to be there for all (3?) recording days? So I guess she's available for more than just two or three days a year.

Howdy! I don’t want to get too embroiled in the discussion here, but want to reassure that Eve is still very committed to Torchwood, and we have a whale of a time recording them. However, she is also an incredibly busy actor, and we’re very lucky that - when she has free time - she lets us know so we can record on days here and there throughout the year. It’s an unpredictable schedule - great for single releases like Believe, or the monthly range, etc, as people have said - but for an ongoing serial like Aliens Among Us, it was going to stall the entire thing. (Based on the number of days we’ve had Alexandria in, versus the number we’ve had with Eve during a similar period, we still wouldn’t have recorded half the material with that character, and as such wouldn’t have been in a position to even announce yet… Aliens Among Us simply wouldn’t have happened yet. And hopefully people are happy it has.) So yes, that’s the reason. Everyone - including Eve - was keen for the 2017 stories to happen, knowing that there’s always room for Gwen’s story to continue to be told elsewhere. Aliens Among Us is one of the trickiest productions I’ve ever had to schedule, and we were very grateful to Eve for being open with us about her lack of availability from the outset… otherwise, as I say, we’d still not have it recorded. As for what she’s doing elsewhere… at the time, she was working flat-out on Victoria, and subsequently learned Welsh to film the dual-language drama Keeping Faith/Un Bore Mercher which is no mean feat (starts next week in English). She’s also a wife and a mother, does a lot of charity runs, etc. She’s one of the most amazingly dedicated and busy people I know, and I don’t think anyone can begrudge her wanting a personal life alongside work. And, you know, there's a balance to these things... Aliens Among Us was always about shaking things up and establishing a new team. That's in addition to stories with the classic team, rather than a replacement for them. At the end of the day, there's more Torchwood than ever - including stories with Eve - and that's a lovely thing!

I thought so too, but I see he is listed as only having made 1 post. I can't stand the confusion in my mind, and all that!

Ha, I decided recently to take a step back from forums, and so deleted my account... but I worry when people speculate about actors, etc - it's very easy for discussion to become fact (e.g. Eve will never play Gwen Cooper again, when of course, that wasn't the case) - so I felt it easier to step in and clarify to avoid any similar confusion!

Poker Face.
Mild Spoilers ...
I like this: it starts on a note of high tension and doesn't drop from that. You really get the impression that something 'big' is happening, and Yvonne Hartman is the very clever, cool, dangerous diva to deliver it (I sound like a cliche). Perhaps the genuinely funny 'she looks like something out of EastEnders' line was inevitable (I'd say Dynasty would have been more fitting, if not as appropriate). You really get the impression Capt. Jack is beginning to lose control over the team and although it is hard to imagine them going against him, it is pretty convincingly conveyed. It says a lot that at the beginning of the piece, when Yvonne was outlining her position, I was thinking, "What would Mr Colchester do?" He really is an astoundingly good character who has instantly become established as a member of the team. As is Orr, it must be said.
Extras are very interesting too. Quite fascinating, especially the stuff about Gwen and Ng. We're off to a very good start!
