Something's been puzzling me. I don’t get the pricing of this, surely the CD preorder is less profitable, for Big Finish, compared to Digital download. Preorder prices: CD £28.00 Download £25.00 Both options include a download, so for an extra £2.50 (£3 minus VAT) Big Finish produce, store, package and even post the CD to each customer! How much does the postage cost them? [Free postage for UK customers who Preorder.]Either the CD option is too cheap, or the download price is artificially high. The download preorder should be, at most, £20.00 Vs £28 for the CD?

A show I'd heard of but never watched until this morning. I love the idea of a science fiction style police procedural and think it slots in rather nicely with Big Finish. I'm going to order the bundle.

If you're an international paying customer, the CD option is very profitable compared to the download only alternative. - No ongoing 10% discount option
- £9.50 fair share cost for shipping
- Pound sterling equal payment

While download only should be cheaper, it really shouldn't be a lot cheaper.

So, that's the license that Big Finish have been trying to land, with two new boxed sets due for release next year, with the original cast involved. With Star Cops being a Chris Boucher series, wonder if this means that BF have a better chance at finally getting the series D Blake's 7 rights eventually now, too? wonder if this means that BF have a better chance at finally getting the series D Blake's 7 rights eventually now, too? fingers crossed, would love me some series D! On the Facebook post the Big Finish account has said Series D is another kettle of fish. Naturally I got in Soolin and thanks for all the fish.

It's great that they got the main surviving cast members back, it's just a shame that Jonathan Adams and Erick Ray Edwards aren't around any longer in order to join them. I can't say I'm surprised that Sayo Inabat's character of Anna Shoun isn't returning, though, given Boucher's disdain for the character being added to the show without his consultation, but with the other surviving cast members returning it's still a bit of a shame. Glad about the theme tune being dumped, though. Truly one of the worst themes to a sci-fi show ever. I mean even the K-9 and Company theme is better... There may be rights issues over Anna Shoun (created by John Collee)

I've long thought that a Hill Street Blues style cop show with a sci-fi bent or something like that set on a space station would make a lot of sense. I'm hoping this kind of scratches that itch.

Great news, somehow I knew they'd do this. It fits Big Finish perfectly. Gonna miss Justin Hayward though.

I guess that's one of the things as far as how the BBC used to do things, it's hard to know just how fractured the various rights to those old shows truly are in many cases.

Anyone who wants to read Chris's novelisation of his TV episodes can find it hereChecking out that site I found this, Star Cops was originally devised by writer Chris Boucher as a radio serial, but it was instead commissioned for television. Fraught with production difficulties, it was neither a ratings nor – in the first instance – a critical success, but has subsequently been re-appraised as one of British TV’s most ambitious and well-written forays into science fiction.
“The strength of Star Cops is the writing. I don’t think any of the episodes are realised as well on screen as they are on the page.” - Kim Newman

I know some people don't like it but I'm really going to miss Justin Hayward's theme from the TV show. I actually owned it on vinyl back in the day. It was a beautiful, sad and haunting song that stayed with me long after the storylines faded from my memory. For me, Star Cops won't quite be Star Cops without it.

Watched 3 episodes so far and I like it, so I will get the audios. My favourite character is David Theroux, it's sad he passed away so young. Now and I am getting to know the other characters better, and Thrakar and Olivier should be good.
Love the Box voice, who's playing that?
